Farm vs. Finance
Genesis 26:12-13 “Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.” (NIV, emphasis added).
Your farm is that place you go to plough, work and sow. Then you reap the harvest (so to speak), you get paid and you get a financial reward. The financial reward you get is your finances. The place you work is your farm.
How you operate your finances is what determines whether you will be poor or wealthy. The kind of farm you work on is what will determine the amount of finance you have available to you in the first place. The story of Isaac gives us a clearer picture.
“Isaac planted crops in that land…”, that was his farm. “…and the same year reaped a hundredfold…”, that is the wealth, resources, finance, the money he got from the farm. The Bible says Isaac planted crops in the land (the farm), where are you planting crops? Where are you spending your time? Where are you spending your energy? Where are you spending your sweat? If you are spending your time, your energy and your sweat, on things that are not rewarding you financially, you are on the wrong farm. There must be a financial reward from your farm. Your farm must produce. I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that your farm will produce. Every toil, labour and sweat will bring forth a bountiful harvest in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
“…the same year reaped a hundredfold…”, that is the finance, the money. “…because the Lord blessed him…”, the blessing of the Lord is what makes the farm and the finances beneficial. Do not miss this; it is the blessing of the Lord that makes you rich and adds no sorrow. You can have a farm and there is no blessing on it. You can even have a harvest, and there is no blessing on it. And so, it is filled with sorrow. I pray in the Name of Jesus, that God will bless your farm, and God will bless your finances. And because of the blessing upon you, your farm and your finances will be blessed. Say Amen! And because Isaac’s farm was blessed, his finance was blessed, he became rich, “…and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy”.
In the Name of Jesus, because the blessing of God is upon you, you will become rich. I know some people have issues with Christians being rich. I do not know what their problem is, honestly. Maybe they should try poverty. But as far as we are concerned, as far as you are concerned, as far as your generation is concerned it will be riches. Say Amen! And your wealth will continue to grow until you have become very wealthy in the Name of Jesus. Genesis 26:14-15 “He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him. So all the wells that his father’s servants had dug in the time of his father Abraham, the Philistines stopped up, filling them with earth.” So, we see finance and the farm at play here, and they are completely different.
Prayer: Father, put Your blessing on my farm and finances so that my land, my seed, my labour, and my harvest will be blessed and continue to multiply, in Jesus Name. Amen!
