The Difference
Ephesians 6:5-8 “Don’t just do what you have to do to get by, but work heartily…always keeping in mind that no matter who happens to be giving the orders, you’re really serving God. Good work will get you good pay from the Master…” (MSG)
Edwin Lewis Cole says, “He who knows how will always have a job, he who knows why will always be the boss”. This statement should push us from just knowing how to knowing why in every area of our lives.
However, I have encountered people who say, ‘Pastor, they are owing me my salary. We have a contract.’ What they are really saying is, ‘I do not care if the business is profitable or not. Just pay me my salary.’ Yes, they should pay, that is the contract and I agree completely. But it breaks my heart because I am looking at someone who will only go and look for another job and really does not connect the fact that the business must be profitable. After all, it directly impacts his or her finances and his or her financial security.
The spirit of the intrapreneur most times really does not care about what the salary is. Let me let you into a secret. If you are just starting your career, or you are even advanced in your career. Do not worry too much about your take home. Make the income of the organization your obsession and see how your take-home will drastically skyrocket. The owners of the business are not fools. They will know that this person is contributing this much. We need to give him or her shares because that is why they are in business. They are in business to make money. But many people are too blind. You will see in the Name of Jesus.
At the farm you learn power, so many things and we are going to look at four of them and how it ties to the finances. Remember, it is not the proceeds of the farm but what you do with the proceeds from the farm that actually determines your wealth. That is why it is possible to see people who are earning less yet are wealthier than people who are earning more. It is what you do with the proceeds of the farm that determines your wealth. We have seen people who have become wealthy, but they keep their jobs because they are wise people.
For example, there was a man who was a multimillionaire in dollars because of his investments in real estate, crypto, and other things. But he had a day job, and his day job was selling coffee at Starbucks. He resumes in the morning, takes instructions from his manager, and serves customers. Even though he was a multimillionaire in dollars. For many people, when they have ‘small money’, they begin to have shoulder pads (raise their shoulders). That is actually a poverty spirit. Your capacity to be wealthy and be farming is what separates you from poverty.
Prayer: Father, please guide the affections of my heart, and fill me with the wisdom to work the farm and invest the proceeds thereafter, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
