Deuteronomy 12:7 “There you and your families will feast in the presence of the Lord your God, and you will rejoice in all you have accomplished because the Lord your God has blessed you.”

In the human experience, fun, that is pleasure and enjoyment, is the glue that holds it all together. The glue that holds family, faith, friendships, fitness, finance, and farm together is fun. 

When you want to choose a carrier or a calling, the question that is usually asked is, ‘If money and failure, were not an issue, what is that thing that you will do? What is the thing that you will wake up and do, let’s assume all your finances are taken care of. You can go anywhere you want to go; eat anything you want to eat; live anywhere you want to live.

What is that thing that you will keep doing? I hope you didn’t say sleep. If it is sleep then that is the spirit of poverty. What is the thing that you would keep doing if failure was not an issue? What they want you to find is that place of fun, pleasure, and enjoyment. In other words, if all your bills are paid and failure is not an option, what will give you satisfaction, joy, and enjoyment? What will you have fun doing? Why? It is because the fun factor is what binds everything together. Take your nuclear family for example, your home must be a place of fun and joy. Your children must run from school home because at home there is joy and fun. Your children should not want to stay back in school or go from school to their friend’s house. 

Your children should not want to come home because they know daddy and mommy will always be shouting at each other. Or they know that the house is always on fire. Or they know that there is no fun, no joy, and no pleasure in the house. If that has been your story, it will change today in the Name of Jesus. Your home must be a place of fun and joy for your children. Your home must also be a place of fun for you. You must also make your home a place of fun and joy for your spouse. Ask yourself this question, does my spouse enjoy being around me, being at home just chilling? What actually binds the home together is the fun, joy, and enjoyment that happens and the memories that happen in the house. 

So, the question is, is family, your home a place of fun, pleasure, and enjoyment? If you do not have to go home, will you go home? Many men will not go home because what is waiting for them at home is trouble. But that will not be our story in the Name of Jesus. If not because they will be labelled as irresponsible, or society will judge them, many men will not go home. Similarly, ladies that are married, if you do not have to go home, will you go home?

Prayer: Father, I ask for the grace to sustain an atmosphere of fun around me and in my home consistently, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
