Stand Firm!

Exodus 15:11 “Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” (KJV)

When you need the tide to turn in your favour Tune Into God, Pray, Admit You Need Help, Focus On God Not The Problem, and Get Some Help. The sixth thing you do to turn the tide

in your favour is Stand Firm. You stand firm. A wise man said, “One of the most relaxing days of my life was the day I resigned as General Manager of the universe. I realized that the world did not fall apart when I resigned.” Some people think they are the general manager of the universe. They are running this and running that because if they do not do it, nothing will happen. Who says? Plenty will happen! Relax! You are not the general manager of the universe.

There is only one God and the last time I checked, it was not you. God is God and you are not. Let go and let God, but stand firm. 2 Corinthians 20:17You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged… the Lord will be with you.’” (NIV, emphasis added). I have seen this over and over in my life. What is it to stand firm? To stand firm is a mental attitude of quiet confidence. You are confident in God, in what God has said, and in what God will do. Take your position in God and stand firm, that is what God requires.

You take your position and stand firm. Let God be God. Let God do what He will do. But you have to stand firm. You cannot say, “Let God be God! It is God’s battle!”, and you are sloppy. You cannot say, “God will prosper us”, and you are not standing firm. You have to stand firm. You cannot say, “God will win this battle”, and then I can be jelly. No, you have to stand firm. Just stand firm. Do not be shaken. Do not be intimidated. Do not let anybody harass you or try to confuse you. Do not let anybody tell you lies. Stand firm! What I have learnt from experience is that it is never God’s will for me to run from a difficult situation.

Many people see difficult situations and they take the next exit. Listen, the carryover is waiting in front. It is never God’s will for you to run from a difficult situation. You say, “But I do not have the power or the strength.” Exactly! That makes you a candidate for a turnaround. Why? God wants you to rely on His strength. Every difficult situation should reveal a side of God to you that you have never experienced before.

Prayer (song): Who is like unto Thee, O Lord? (x2) Among the gods, who is like Thee? You are glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, always doing wonders. Hallelujah! Amen!
