Your Choice

John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (KJV)

We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thoughts from yesterday. When satan gives you an idea, it is called Temptation. When God gives you an idea, it is called Inspiration. What you make your contemplation will inadvertently become your reality or what you act on. If you make temptation your contemplation, it will inadvertently become your reality. If you make inspiration your contemplation, it will inadvertently become your reality. So, when you can walk by someone and feel attracted to the person—burn it! Do not pursue it! It is just a temptation. What you do with it will determine whether it is going to be a sin or not.

Imagine the privilege of making His inspiration our contemplation. When it is God’s inspiration that is your contemplation, imagine how beautiful your life will be. Imagine how powerful your life will be. Again, what you make your contemplation, temptation, or inspiration, will inadvertently become your actions. Many people do not like their actions, they do not like what they are doing, or how their lives are turning out. So, they try to change their actions. No, there is no need to try to change your actions. Your actions are just the product of what you are imbibing. Change what you are imbibing. Change what you are consuming. Change what you are soaking in. Then your output will change.

Temptation and inspiration are just attractions. When you get inspiration from God, it is just an attraction. You get inspiration for a business idea from God; it is an attraction. You can be drawn to it. Then you can sit with it and explore it. You can make it your contemplation, brood on it, plan, and get investors. Then, boom, it becomes a reality, and people will say you are an overnight success. Similarly, temptation is just an attraction. If you pursue it, you are going to die. That is why the Bible says in Romans 8:6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” (KJV).

So, temptations or inspirations are just offers. You have the right to say no or yes. Temptation is not an instruction; it is just an offer, an opportunity. Inspiration is also not an instruction. It is an opportunity for growth, but you can choose to make it an instruction.

Prayer: Father, I choose Jesus and all that He offers. What the devil offers will be of no interest to me, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
