No Doubt!
Luke 16:16 “The Law and the Prophets remained until John. Since then, the good news about the kingdom of God has been proclaimed, and everyone entering it is under attack.” (ISV, emphasis added).
Wow! Every time you press into the Kingdom, you come under attack. But you will prevail. The more you press in, you shake off the attacks of the enemy, and you enter into that promise. For many of you reading this today, God has spoken to you and told you to do something. And you have done it in obedience. But as you are pressing and pushing into the promise, boom! It is as if there is an attack. And you are puzzled because this is what God told you to do. So, how come there is an attack? Everyone who presses in will experience resistance.
However, we are not of them that turn back unto perdition. We are not of them who give up when we are under pressure. We are of them who press in and break through in the Name of Jesus. We are of them who stay the course and obtain the promise. So, while we are there in the Kingdom, we see the fullness of the will and the beauty of our King. I pray that you will see the fullness of the will and the beauty of your King in the Name of Jesus. One way the enemy attacks us is by darts of doubt and unbelief. The enemy says, did God really say that? Are you sure God really said that to you? That was the same thing he said to Eve in Genesis 3, did God really say you cannot? Did God really say…?
To put a question mark on what God has said is to allow the enemy to win. But in the Mighty Name of Jesus, the enemy will fail consistently in your life. So, doubt has to be dealt with. The story is told of a father and his children, his wife had travelled, and daddy was in charge of the children. So, the dad made breakfast on the first day and the second day. By the end of the second day, one of his sons began to doubt his father. And he said to his brother, “Maybe we will go hungry tomorrow. Maybe Dad will not make breakfast tomorrow”. His dad heard and said to him, “Son, I will take you through the path that the Bible takes people who doubt their heavenly Father.” The following day after the man made the breakfast, he gave the other children. But said to his son, “You doubted me, so there will be no breakfast for you.
True life story. The boy watched his siblings enjoy their breakfast while he had to go hungry. His father said, “You doubted me, but you will not doubt me again.” Guess what? The next day, before anyone got up, the boy got up and went to his dad. He said, “Dad, you are the best chef in the world. I know that you are going to make breakfast. I refuse to doubt because I am going to eat breakfast this morning”. Some of you may not subscribe to what the father did. But the lesson here is that from that day, the boy refused to doubt his dad. Read James 1:6-8.
Prayer: Father, please shield me – spirit, soul, and body from every attack of the enemy even as I press in to obtain what You have promised me, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
