Revelations 5:9 “With your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and every language and every people and every nation!” (NIV).
Everyone who has committed their lives to Jesus matters to God. God is passionate about everyone who is added to His Kingdom. God loves everyone. And as a people, we are big on numbers because everyone counts. The hundreds and thousands of people that have come to Jesus. Loads and loads of people that have been baptized. The thousands and thousands of people who are being added to God’s church. The nations that are being reached for Jesus. Every number represents a person, every person has a name, every name has a story, and every story is to God’s glory. Guess what? Everyone that has a name, that has a story, that is for God’s glory, Jesus died for on the cross of Calvary.
That is why we are here and that is why we continue to do what we do. When you adopt God’s agenda, people will criticize you and say all sorts of things. Just say to them the blind see, the lame walk, and people are coming to Jesus. I am about God’s agenda. Whose agenda are you about? How has God’s Kingdom prospered and expanded in your hands? God’s Kingdom is prospering and expanding in my own hands. The truth is that if God’s Kingdom is expanding in their hands, they will be too busy. They will not have the time to talk about you, because you do not even have the time to talk about them. You are focused on God’s agenda. Do I get an Amen?
How much does God care? Look at the cross, because on the cross Jesus was saying, I would rather die than live without you. Huge! Nothing can pluck you away from His hands. Nothing can pluck God’s people away from His hands. No power of hell, no scheme of man can prevail. Therefore, we must adopt God’s agenda. We must embrace God’s agenda. We must be intertwined with God’s agenda. God’s agenda is simple—it is people coming into His Kingdom.
Revelations 5:9 “With your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and every language and every people and every nation!” (NIV, emphasis added). Jesus paid for it with His blood. God is about diversity. God’s Kingdom is multinational, multi-ethnic, and multi-tribal. So, if you do not like diversity, you are not going to like heaven. If you are not comfortable with being in the same space with people who do not look like you, you will not be comfortable being in heaven. And it is because every tribe and every tongue are going to be represented.
Prayer: Father, I ask for the grace and courage to remain focused on The Kingdom and my assignment, and ignore the naysayers, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
