Psalm 11:³ “If the foundations [of a godly society] are destroyed, What can the righteous do?” (AMP)

I know people say that some people are lucky in marriage and others are unlucky. There is really nothing like that, because the people who stay married have just chosen to stay married. Choosing to love the person you are married to over and over again, then all of a sudden, the wrong person becomes the right person. There are certain words that they will never say. There are certain things that they will never do because they have chosen to stay married. So, when you see people who are married, you are seeing two champions, two heroes. And they are heroes because both of them have decided to get married. But it takes only one person to break up a marriage, only one. So, if you see a marriage that is working, both of them deserve a standing ovation. Why GET married, STAY married, or RE-marry? Marriage Is The Love Lab.

The fourth thing is Marriage Is The Foundation Of Civilization. Society depends on marriages to function. No nation can survive the breakup of the family. If you check human history, every movement, every civilization, every society, and every kingdom was built around the institution of marriage. And this person begat this person, and begat that person, and so on. In fact, when someone does something, we often ask, who is your father? Which house did you come from? Why? It is because that is the fabric of the community, the society.

The basic building block of every church is the family. The basic building block of every community, every business, every nation is the family unit. And marriage is what keeps the family together. Why marry? Why GET married? Why STAY married? Why RE-marry? It is because marriage is the foundation of civilization. It is the foundation of the future of your children. Guess what the conclusions were? I will distil them for you. The first from my summary is, the lack of two married parents in a home increases the child’s risk of failing in school, not graduating from college, being involved in substance or alcohol abuse, and being a victim of child abuse. Marriage is the foundation and when that foundation is out of place, this happens.

Prayer: Father, I bring my marriage before You, come in and repair every broken foundation, so that the children of this union will be whole and holy, in Jesus Name. Amen!
