Build Capacity
Psalm 119:32 “I will run the course of Your commandments, For You shall enlarge my heart.” (NKJV)
The first of five areas you need to build capacity is Spiritual Capacity. Why? Having spiritual capacity, in addition to sorting out your identity and giving you power with God, makes you like an enigma to people. The Bible says in John 3:8 “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” (NIV). Unpredictable! For instance, where people are expecting that one plus one in your life will be equals to one. You go to God and by the time you are done, one plus one in your life equals ten. Power with God. Study the Word of God and pray.
Secondly, you need to build Intellectual Capacity. You need to build your intellectual capacity, your ability to learn new things, your ability to think, your ability to plan, and your ability to execute the plan. Expand your intellectual capacity and ability. The third capacity that you need to expand, and build is your Physical Capacity. The Bible says that Moses, that as he grew old, his natural strength was not abated (Deuteronomy 34:7). Another translation says Moses was as strong as ever. As Moses physical capacity did not drop, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, as you grow older your physical capacity will not drop. As you increase in age, so will you increase in strength in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
It is very possible because there are territories that God wants to release to you that if you are not fit, you cannot take them. So, your physical health and physical fitness is so key. Caleb, for instance, God wanted to give him his promised land, but he was eighty-five. And at eighty-five, Caleb could say, give me this mountain. At eighty-five, most people are looking at retiring. Caleb was looking at taking territories. The truth is that in any generation, how you are at forty is not how you are at eighty-five, all things being equal.
That is why Caleb said in Joshua 14:11-12 “As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said.” (NKJV, emphasis added). If strength was not an issue, Caleb would not have emphasized on it.
Prayer: Father, empower me to enlarge my spiritual capacity, intellectual capacity, and physical capacity for all that You have for me and much more, in Jesus Name. Amen!
