Plant More, Harvest More

2 Corinthians 9:¹⁰ “For God, who gives seed to the farmer to plant, and later on good crops to harvest and eat, will give you more and more seed to plant and will make it grow so that you can give away more and more fruit from your harvest.” (LB)

You Always Harvest More Than You Plant. Mark 4:⁸ “Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some MULTIPLYING thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.” (NIV, emphasis added). This principle will either work for you, and I pray it works for you, or it will work against you depending on what kind of seed you choose to plant. It is a deception that you can continue to tear people down and expect that your life will be in order. It cannot be because you will reap exactly what you plant. It is also deception for you to think that you will be serving God the way you are serving God, doing God’s bidding, helping God’s church, sowing seeds, churches are being planted. And you will think your life will not be better.

Impossible. Your children will prosper and be better off. I know someone who was doing so well, and she knows God. But I knew that the result she was getting was not because of her own efforts. If you are a spiritual person, you can discern certain things. But I could not place my finger on it. So, one day we were talking, and she was telling me how her father built several churches, as in bankrolling the building of those churches and her father is late. I said aha! So, I explained to her that the favour she was getting, the seeds her father had sown was the source of it. She said she knew, and I was like you be careful what you are sowing for your own children because it works both ways.

The eighth law of planting is You Can Increase Your Harvest By Planting More Seeds. For example, if you are receiving a harvest of kindness, you can increase the harvest of kindness you are receiving by planting more seeds of kindness. If you are receiving a harvest of generosity, you can increase that harvest by planting more seeds of generosity. That is how it works. It is called The Law of Proportion. 2 Corinthians 9:^6-7 “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (NIV, emphasis added).

Proverbs 11:²⁴ “The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.” (MSG). You determine your destiny. This is a decade of destiny. You choose. What do you want? Do you want your world to grow larger or smaller? You choose.

Prayer: Father, as you give me more and more seed to plant, increase my harvest more and more, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
