Put Right

John 3:36 “That is why whoever accepts and trusts the Son gets in on everything, life complete and forever! …the person who avoids and distrusts the Son is in the dark and doesn’t see life…” (MSG).

Prayer draws you closer to God. And the closer you get to God, the less confused you become. You cannot pray for hours on end and still be confused. Something is wrong with your prayers. Prayer draws you closer to God and the closer you get to God, the less confused you become in your life. The less confused you become in your relationships, your career, your finances, and your family. When it comes to God, your sight depends on your heart and your mind. It is your heart and your mind that determine what you see, not your eyes.

Matthew 5:8You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.” (MSG). And that is one of the things prayer helps us achieve. If the heart is not put right, you cannot see God. Therefore, you need to start from your heart because only then will you be able to see God in the outside world. A real-life story, two astronauts went to space and were now sharing their experience with a crowd. The first astronaut got up and said he looked everywhere when he was in space. He said he checked every angle that he could see, but he did not see any God. And the atheist in the crowd clapped because there is now scientific proof that there is no God.

The second astronaut got up and said everywhere he looked he saw God. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament show forth His handy work. Day onto day utter speech. He said everything was speaking and could hear it. The first man that landed on the moon said He felt God’s presence like never before. The two astronauts were looking at the same thing, but because the heart and the mind of one was closed (was not put right), he could not see God in the outside world. Many people struggle to see what God is doing in their situation. The reason you struggle to see what God is doing in your situation physically is that your heart and mind need to be put right. And when you put it right, you will see God everywhere you turn.

1 Corinthians 13:12 “…then we will see everything with perfect clarity… then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.” The truth is you don’t have to have all your questions answered for you to open your life to God. We will have questions as long as we are on this side of the world. But you don’t have to be confused. You can have questions and not have confusion because you have God, and with God, there is no confusion.

Prayer: Father, by Your spirit please put my inside world—my mind and heart—right, so that I can see You in every inch of the outside world, in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
