God is God
God is God and there is nothing anyone can do to change it. Whether you ignore Him or acknowledge Him, God remains God. Whatever He says happens just as He says it will. He does what He pleases and nobody can question Him. God chooses to lift one up and pull down another. Everything He does is in righteousness. God’s purposes are greater than our present happiness or pain. God remains God whether we serve Him or not. However God has not called us to serve Him in vain. It is in our best interest to serve Him. You must look beyond your current situation, past the people who oppose you, and keep your focus on God. Paul spent the huge part of his ministry in prison and he was still able to impact multitudes for God. Paul did not refuse to do God’s work because He was imprisoned. Jeremiah was also put in prison for saying what God had sent him to say. There are people that will be upset with you because you say what God has sent you to say. In Jeremiah’s case, it was the king that was upset with him and so he was put in prison. And God chose not to save him but rather to use it to accomplish His purposes. You need to trust that because He is God, He will cause that tough situation to work out according to His purposes and it will work out for your good. Jeremiah also did not fight the prison sentence but remained faithful to and open for God to use him even while he was in prison. The Bible says concerning Joseph that the Word of God tried him. The Word of God will try you. There are things we go through as Christians not because we have been unfaithful but because we have been faithful. You need to trust that all things are working out for your good not because you have been faithful but because God says so. He is God and His Word is ‘yea and amen’. The truth is that God will do as He pleases but the question to you and I is: will you keep on loving Him even if it appears things are not happening in your favour? Or are you going to back down and grumble?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, bring me to the full knowledge of You. Help me align with Your purposes beyond my own present needs. Help me give Your will first place in my life daily, in Jesus Name.
