In Control

‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble’ Ps.46:1 [KJV]

In this New Year, there are five things that we need to reinforce in our hearts and spirits for us to triumph ; and we will triumph in the Mighty Name of Jesus. In fact you will look back at what God has done through you this year and you will testify.

The first thing that we must know and reinforce in our spirit is that God is in Control. In spite of the turbulence and challenges that will hit this year, one thing that you must know is that God is in control. The One that holds the whole world in His palms will take care of you. ‘He that carries the weight of the world upon His shoulders, I know my brother that He will carry you’. The shoulders that bear the whole world will carry you this year. Regardless of what is going on God is in control. ‘God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!’ Ps.46:1-3. We will not fear because our God is in control. We have to keep reminding our hearts that God is in control because we are human; our hearts can tremble and want to fail us. I don’t know what your finances are like but I am here to tell you as a messenger of the Most High that He is in control. I don’t know what your marriage is going through, but I am here to tell you that as bleak as it may appear God is in control. I don’t know what you are experiencing with your career or business but I am here to herald that God is in control. Every one that walks with God must necessarily go through storms even David had to speak to himself. ‘Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance’ Ps.42:5 [KJV]. You need to learn how to speak to your heart and your soul. Everybody may turn their backs  on you but you need to learn how to speak to yourself and say ‘God is  my help; God is my strength; and God is in control’.

Prayer [song]: Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, all fear is gone. And because I know He holds my future, my life is worth a living just because He lives’
