Make God Priority I

‘The first of the first fruits of thy land thou shall bring into the house of the Lord thy God…’ Ex.23:19

The fifth thing we have to reinforce or learn this year is that I must make God priority. Everyone that will have a significant walk with God and will walk in unprecedented prosperity must understand the place of prioritizing God. It is called the principle of first fruits. If you check from Genesis to Revelations God manifests it. In the garden of Eden God placed an embargo so to speak on a certain tree. In the time of Cain and Abel, who taught Abel that he must bring the best of his first fruits? The Spirit of God in him taught him that God deserves it. With Abraham God recognized Isaac as his first fruit and asked for him to be sacrificed. Abraham was going to do it but God redeemed Isaac. There is the redemption of the first-born child; the first-born child belongs to God. If you redeem your first-born child from God it will clear a lot of things and make a lot of things work for that child.

The tithe is a type of the first fruits; the tithe is not just 10%. Tithing means honoring God with your first 10%. Then there is the first fruit sacrifice when you enter into a provision. I am not saying this is compulsory however where you get with God depends on you. Think about it as honoring God with your firsts and then watch what He will do. I have had other people challenge me and my reply usually is that first fruit as a sacrifice is not compulsory, if you do not give it. It is the tithe that is compulsory but there are certain things you want to enter into, nobody will tell you to give it. When you make God priority, trust me, you will never regret it. Abraham took that step and he got the irrevocable blessing. This is God speaking ‘So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of Godabove all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need’ Matt.6:31-33. Purpose to make God priority this year in all things – all things.
