How to be Spiritually Rich II

‘He gave five bags of silver to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then left on his trip’ Matt.25:15

Lesson 1 (contd.): God is not prodigal. Let’s assume that three people go to the ocean to fetch water. One goes with a teaspoon, another with a bucket, and the last man with a tanker. Will all three of them come back home with the same quantity of water? It will be totally impossible for them to come back with the same quantity of water. What will determine the quantity of water they come back home with is the capacity of the vessel they went with. This is very similar to what happens between our heavenly Father and us. Every spiritual heavy weight [as it were] knows what it is to build capacity. The truth is that the limitation is not with God but rather the limitation is with us. How much can you take? God wants to bless you but how much can your vessel hold? Even financially, how much financial resource can you handle? You need to build capacity in order for God to trust you with a large amount of financial resources. An example of how to build capacity is by reading books. What book are you reading right now? When was the last time you really took out time to study a book or content that can build your capacity in any area? You will notice that with everyone that is wealthy, they always have this hunger for knowledge. In order to be wealthy spiritually and physically, you have to build capacity. You have to prepare for what God is preparing for you. The prayer focus for singles is that they should be asking God to prepare them for the person that He is preparing for them. Do not be too consumed by whom God has for you to marry. Yes, you should pray for the person but you should be more concerned about the kind of person you are becoming because you will attract who you are. You cannot be a pigeon and attract an eagle or be a parrot and attract an eagle. You have to be an eagle to attract an eagle. We all need to consistently build capacity.

Prayer: Father, teach me not to become complacent but rather to consistently build capacity for the greatness You have set before me, in Jesus Name.
