How to be Spiritually Rich X

‘To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance…’ Matt.25:29a

Lesson 7: Help others succeed. The spiritually rich people do not mind helping others succeed. ‘…Master, I knew you were a harsh man, harvesting crops you didn’t plant and gathering crops you didn’t cultivateMatt.25:24. Bad attitude! How will a servant say such things to his master? Spiritually rich people are willing to make others succeed. The servant with the 10 talents was willing to give Jesus all 10 talents. He did not even want to keep any for himself. Spiritually poor people are not interested in making any other person succeed. Spiritually poor people, if they do not take the glory, they are willing to sink the ship and let everyone drown. The spiritually rich people are able to let go [1 Kings 3]. Who is the custodian of your marriage? It should be both spouses but usually one is willing to scatter everything and the other is usually willing to let go of their rights. Yet the marriage that will be blissful, the two parties must be willing to make each other succeed.  What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you.

Lesson 8: Produce value. Spiritually rich people are driven by a sense of responsibility to produce value and they understand stewardship. The spiritually poor people do not have that sense of responsibility. They just go through the motions. ‘I was afraid I would lose your money, so I hid it in the earth. Look, here is your money back’ Matt.25:25. If you look at it logically, you can say that after all he did not loose the money. But Jesus was not impressed, in fact he was really upset. The financially rich always focus on the value they can deliver. The spiritually poor always focus on their entitlement based on the time they have put in and not necessarily the value they are putting in. Do you see the difference? Your focus should be on delivering value. What value are you adding in your marriage? The rich always take initiative. Jesus did not tell them what to do but they took initiative and invested. Constantly find ways to produce value.

Prayer: Father, I ask for the wisdom to use well the wisdom and the talents that You have given to me; in Jesus Name.
