Not Without Patience

‘Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised’ Heb.6:15.

Abraham is known as the father of faith. You cannot teach faith without patience. To teach faith without patience is to set people up for a life of disappointments and that is not what the Word of God teaches. The Word of God says Abraham, after releasing his faith, he was patient enough to obtain the promise. I am praying that you will be patient enough to obtain your promise in the mighty Name of Jesus. So if your name is patience, for instance, how blessed are you because blessed are the patient for they will have influence, their territories will be ear-marked for them, their sphere of influence is guaranteed, and they will be prosperous here on earth. The meek is mild, patient, and long-suffering. When you run out of patience; switch to long-suffering. When patience expires, switch to long-suffering. In fact, you almost wish no one else would say the word patience to you because you have heard it so often. I totally understand that and I have a new word for you, it is long-suffering. Blessed are the mild, the patient, those that suffer long for they will inherit the land.

When the Bible says inherit the land, you need to understand that God is not talking about a futuristic thing because the earth is not going to last forever. God is not talking about eternity either. He is talking about now; in your lifetime you will inherit the land. You will enter into the promise in your lifetime. Following God has been a challenge for a lot of people because they think that if they follow God they will miss out. If we miss out on the promise here on earth but secure our eternity, we are still better off. In other words, if we don’t get anything on earth and our eternity is secured we are still better off. But that is not what God is saying. God is saying to you and I today that even on earth there is an inheritance for us. In other words, we have the best of both worlds. Jesus says there is no one that has left father or mother…that has not …here on earth and in the life to come eternal life. Those are the words of Jesus and they come with a guarantee of fulfillment [Mark 10:29-30].

Prayer: Father, thank You for the guarantee of my Promised Land and beyond that thank You for my eternal inheritance, in Jesus Name.
