Raising The Bar

‘God, create a pure heart in me, and make my spirit strong again’ Ps.51:10 [ERV]

God can skip a whole generation and look for you because your heart is right. The greatest prophet in the land made the mistake of judging by the exterior about six times and God kept saying no. The Bible says until they found David everybody was standing and when David came the Holy Ghost said to him that is the man. I am praying in the Name of Jesus that every thing will stand at attention until you show up because your heart will be right with God. Jesus always focuses on the heart. Jesus said to the Pharisees you wash the outside of the cup and you leave the inside dirty [Matt.23:25-26]. He had an issue with that. A lot of us want to put up a front. The Pastor that does not have discernment of spirits is on a suicide mission because people will put up their best act before you. You must be able to hear what they are saying and what they are not saying. Man always naturally washes the outside but God is challenging us, as Jesus was challenging the Pharisees why don’t you wash the inside. And this is how it works, as Jesus said to them, once you wash the inside the outside will be clean. Why don’t you pay attention to the person you are becoming? Why are you so focused on what people think about you, or on what they are saying about you, or how you have been misrepresented? Why is that so important to you? Why are you not focused on who you are becoming in the process because that is what God is after. It is about the heart. Jesus, in explaining about the heart  said; you have heard it said before that until you have slept with a woman you have committed adultery. But I am telling you today, if you lust after a woman in your heart you have committed adultery [Matt.5:27-28]. That is raising the bar! And guess who sees the heart – God. So Jesus raised the bar and said it is not just about killing someone, in fact if you hate your bother in your heart and refuse to forgive, you are a murderer. People say until you kill but Jesus says if you are working in the same unit but you are bitter against the person you are a murderer.

Prayer: Father, sprinkle Your clean water on me and purify my heart. Make my heart pure so that I can see You Lord, in Jesus Name.
