Capture It!
Philippians 4:7 “And know that the peace of God (a peace that is beyond any and all of our human understanding) will stand watch over your hearts and minds in Jesus, the Anointed One.” (The Voice)
For the next few days, we are going to be focusing on gaining mental traction (having traction in the mind), and this is so powerful. It is so important that we wrap our minds around this, and God will help us in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Whether you like it or not, whether you know it or not, there is a war constantly going on even right now in your mind and for your mind. Whoever controls your mind controls your life. God loves you, owns you and created you. The enemy hates you and wants to get control of your mind. So, how do you get a grip and take control of your mind so you can rise above the constant battle for your mind?
God is there, God fills you, and God surrounds you. But sometimes, through the things we watch, the places we go, and the people we associate with, we open our minds to the enemy. And inadvertently, we have this constant conflict. That is why brands spend billions of dollars on adverts because they want to get control of our minds. In fact, they call it the top-of-mind awareness. The objective is to be at the forefront of our minds. And it is because whatever is on your mind, is going to be in your life. Whether you like it or not, whatever is on your mind is going to be in your life. So, if you do not want it in your life, you get it out of your mind.
The mind is that place of constant battle. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we TAKE CAPTIVE EVERY THOUGHT to make it obedient to Christ.” (NIV, emphasis added). So, we have a constant barrage of thoughts, ideas, and things that come to mind that are at variance with Christ. But for you to have a successful Christian life and a successful walk with God, you need to be successful in your mind. A stronghold is a false idea that dominates your life. It could be guilt, shame, resentment, bitterness, or fear. What is that false idea that is trying to dominate your life?
We tear down that stronghold now in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Every stronghold that has held you bound, in the Name of Jesus, we command them to begin to fall off, to crumble, and be scattered. Ephesians 1:18 “I pray that your hearts will be flooded with…”. I see the light of God flooding your heart and your mind in Jesus Name.
Prayer: Father, I thank You that Your Light is flooding my heart even right now and I pray that it will produce healing and mental traction, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
