Third Dimension

Luke 16:¹² “And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?”

This is the third dimension. The first dimension, Luke 16:¹⁰ “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” The second dimension talks of the same principle, Luke 16:¹¹ “And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?” Now in the third dimension of this same principle, Jesus is saying, “…if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?” You are working for your boss, but you abuse him or her from morning till night. Meanwhile, your boss is paying your salary every month, but you are calling him or her an idiot.

Your mother loves you, but does your mother pay your salary? Does she give you money every month? She does not. In fact, she receives from you, which is the right order of things. Your salary is being paid every month; the same organization gives you allowances. But you will still open your mouth and run the organization down and talk ill of the organization. Listen, you are repaying good with evil. Even if your boss is not born again, it does not matter. Everyone that repays good with evil, the Bible says, evil will not depart from their house. The reason a lot of people are struggling so much is that the things that God has used to lift you up, you are using your mouth to abuse it. Then you are going to experience the swing side of the sword.

A lot of people want to have their own business. I cannot wait until I open my own business or run my own show. But guess what? Heaven is saying do not try it. If you try it, you will be in trouble. Do you know why? It is because of how you have treated somebody else’s business. This is one thing my grandma drilled into us while growing up. It is the floor you sweep when no one is watching that is the most important part of your chores. So, everywhere I have worked I always have an amazing relationship with my bosses. Everyone I have worked with, when I leave, they are sad. But when we meet again, they are happy that I am doing well. Why? It is because I served them with my all. Chronicle all my leaders and go and ask them. Not one has a bitter taste in their mouth because of me. If you put a bitter taste in other people’s mouths, something worse is waiting for you. These are the principles of life.

Prayer: Father, I ask for the grace, discipline, and wisdom to be faithful with other people’s things, with serving other people as unto the Lord, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
