Breaking Barriers

Genesis 21:19 “Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink.” (NKJV)

Let’s just begin today by appreciating the Lord, our King, our Maker, our Father, and our God. Father, how can we ever thank you enough? From the depth of our beings, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank You. Thank You for all that You are doing and how far You have brought me this year. Zechariah 4:7Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in Zerubbabel’s way; it will become a level plain before him!…” I want you to personalize this scripture and say, nothing, not even a mighty mountain will stand in my (insert your name) way. It will become a level plain before me. Please spend some time praying this scripture and so shall it be in Jesus Name. I pray that in the lives of everyone reading this devotional today, God will do that which eye has not seen, that which ear has not heard, and that which has not even entered the hearts of men to the praise and glory of His Name alone, in Jesus Mighty Name.

We have been on a journey of breaking barriers with God. We are confident that God has broken the barriers of fear, bitterness, control, and the past in our lives. However, there is always more in God. Man is tripartite meaning man has three components. Man is a spirit that has a soul and lives in a body. And barriers can exist in any of these three realms. Meaning that men have had physical barriers. For instance, historically, there was a time that there was a physical barrier to how fast a man could run a hundred meters. It was called the ten-second barrier. But that barrier has been shattered. Barriers are made to be shattered, and records are there to be broken. Every barrier in your life will be shattered, and every record will be broken in Jesus Name. Another physical barrier that men had was the barrier of flying, but that barrier was also shattered.

Perhaps it is a health barrier that you have had. I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that the health barrier will be totally and completely broken in Jesus Mighty Name. The barriers could be mental because that is where most of the human limitation actually resides. The Bible says “…as a man thinks in his heart (mind), so he is…” (Proverbs 23:7). If you think you cannot make a difference, then you will not make a difference. If you think you can make a difference, then you can make a difference. The mental barrier is huge. The other two try to condition the mind. So, to overcome and live a life of victory, you need to gain victory in your mind. There are also spiritual barriers. The physical world is governed by the spiritual world. God is Spirit, and the forces that control the world are spiritual.

Prayer: Father, break every barrier and limitation in my life this season, in Jesus Name. Amen!
