Faith Attack

Job 2:9& 11 “His wife said to him, “Are you still trying to maintain your integrity? Still holding on to your precious integrity, are you? Curse God and die. Curse God and be done with it!” … Not once through all this did Job sin. He said nothing against God.” (NLT & MSG).

Many people have lost their faith because their family, faith, or finances are under attack. Many people have lost their faith because their fitness, their health is under attack. Some say, ‘If I am serving God, why should I have a headache?’ 

Not knowing that the reason for the headache is so that their faith in God can be strengthened. If your Faith is intact, you can rebuild the other Fs in your life. Take the classic example of Job, all the attacks Job faced were all about Job’s faith. It was a very difficult situation, Job lost his children, but it was not about his children (family). He practically lost his relationship with his wife, his finances, health, fitness, and farm.

Job lost everything he had. Job even lost his friends. This is the same man that when he wants to speak, everybody keeps quiet. But in the heat of the attacks, everybody was talking to him anyhow. You may have lost your family, fitness, and friendships, and maybe your finances are under attack. My advice to you today is do not lose your faith, do not lose your praise, just hold on to God. It was all about Job’s faith. It is all about your faith. Unfortunately, we make it about the other things. Job 1:9 “Satan replied to the Lord, “Yes, but Job has good reason to fear God.” Satan was pointing to the Fs in Job’s life and saying it was because of Job’s family, friendship, finances, fitness, and his farm that Job had faith.

Job 1:10 “You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property…” For every child of God, you may not know this but there is a wall of protection around your family, finances, friendship, farm, your future, fitness, and your health. It is all because of your faith. So, when those things are being attacked, it is not about them. It is all about your faith. Job 1:10 “…You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is!” His family, finances, friendship, farm, and fitness are prospering. Job 1:11 “But reach out and take away everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face!” 

The devil was saying if God touches Job’s family, finances, friendship, farm, fitness, and health, he will throw his faith out of the window. And God said, ‘My own boy? Impossible! His faith is because of Me, not his family, finances, friendship, fitness, or farm.’ Job 2:9 “His wife said to him, “Are you still trying to maintain your integrity? Curse God and die.” You are still serving this God? You are still going to prayer meetings and vigils? Your children, your finances, everything is gone. You are a useless man. Forget about your faith, lose it, curse God, and die. Painful!

Prayer: Father, keep me from speaking against You, no matter what, in Jesus Name. Amen!
