The Equation

Luke 1:37 “For every promise from God shall surely come true. Nothing is impossible with respect to any of God’s promises.” (LB & ISV)

When you stand and say to God, “Here I Am”, not only will You Face The Fear You Never Thought You Could Face. But secondly, You Trust The Promise You Never Thought You Would Trust

Why? Luke 1:37 “Nothing is impossible with respect to any of God’s promises.” (ISV). You may be saying that what is true about you is that you are ignored. And because everybody ignores you, you are wondering how this life can be great. You are asking, how can your life be great when at home, you are ignored? At work you are ignored, even when a new person comes, they will pass you over and choose the new person. And that is how it has been. So, Pastor, how can I be important? How can I ever be great?

Guess what? Yes, ‘ignored’ and ‘important’ cannot coexist in the same equation, unless you add something to it. So, ‘ignored’ plus ‘nothing is impossible with God’ equals ‘important’. You know that even if they conduct an election in your family, you will not win. But with God on your side, with God in your equation, with God on your table, and with God on your side of the equation you become important. Listen, all you need to say to God is, “Here I am. I do not know how you are going to do this. I do not even understand it, but I am available.”

Or you may be saying that what you know to be true about yourself is that you are sinful. So, how can you be holy? Pastor, how can I be acceptable to God because without holiness no one can see God? Yes, without holiness no one can see God and that is a fact. But guess what? While ‘sinful’ and ‘holy’ do not coexist in the same equation. If you take sinful and you add nothing is impossible with God, you will get Holy. Therefore, ‘sinful’ plus ‘nothing is impossible with God’ equals ‘Holy’. And all you need to do is say to God, “Here I am”. I did that for my life in 1995.

You may be saying that what is true about you is failure. And ‘failure’ and ‘significance’ do not coexist, ‘failure’ and ‘greatness’ do not coexist. But guess what? Here is the good news. ‘Failure’ plus ‘nothing is impossible with God’ equals ‘eternal significance’. God says to you in Isaiah 60:15Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.” (KJV, emphasis added). Again, all you need to say is, “God, here I am!” Are you going to say that today? Are you going to turn your life over to your Maker?

Prayer (hymn): Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace. Amen!
