Loss To More

John 12:24 “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.”

The greatest level of loss, if you will, is death. However, except the kernel of wheat experiences that loss, it abides alone. Unless the kernel of wheat, the corn experiences the loss, it will not experience the more. That is what the Bible is saying.  In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, in the places where you have experienced loss, you will experience multiple harvest of newness and freshness, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. What we are saying by the grace of God is that the setback that comes with loss, is actually a setup for a comeback for More. Do not get me wrong, loss is agonizing, and it is painful. But most times it is a prerequisite to abundance.

Sometimes, God needs to put some things to an end, so that He can start something new in your life. God needs to put a chapter to an end, so that a new chapter will open. Pastor Rick Warren said, “There is no growth without change, no change without loss and no loss without pain.” And this is so apt. So, if you want to grow you have to change. If you want to change you have to lose something, something has to give if you want to change. And there is no loss without pain. That is why a lot of people are not growing, and not ending up with more. Instead, they are avoiding the pain that comes from loss that will lead to change, that will bring about the growth, that will bring about more. No loss without pain.

Every loss comes with pain. It is loss because it is painful. Guess what? Loss leads to change, loss births creativity, and leads to change. And guess what? Change is growth. No growth without change, no change without loss, and no loss without pain. Your capacity to navigate loss will always determine whether you end up with more. And when you look at this issue of loss, sometimes the things that we feel a sense of loss about are actually things that did not happen. But we still feel a sense of loss because they are things we hope and want to happen. For instance, you go for a job interview and as far as you are concerned, you aced the interview. You were the best candidate, and they said they will call you back. You went home, rejoiced, and probably began to shop for new work clothes.

You waited and waited, and they never called you back. Then you discovered that someone else got the job, someone that, in your estimation, you were better than. So, you feel the sense of loss. However, even the loss of the things that did not happen are always in your favour because, the one thing that never happened is the best thing that never happened. Think about it. The one thing that never happened, often times is the best thing that never happened.

Prayer:  Father, I decree that every loss I have experienced will lead to more, an abundance of newness and freshness, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
