Earnestly

James 5:^17-18 “Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.”

Father, we enter into Your presence with thanksgiving. Thank You for Your kindness. Breathe upon us, speak Your Word to us, and let Your Name be glorified. In Jesus Mighty Name. Amen. God’s Word to us this season is, I Will Give You A Name. Do you receive it? Luke 16:¹⁶ “Until John the Baptist, the law of Moses and the messages of the prophets were your guides. But now the Good News of the Kingdom of God is preached, and everyone is eager to get in.” (emphasis added). This scripture is so instructive. Eagerness is required to get into the Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is declared but everyone that gets in must be eager to get in. Are you eager to get in? The Word of God has been declared, I will give you a name. Are you pressing in eagerly?

The New American Standard Bible of Luke 16:¹⁶, “The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John came; since that time the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.” (emphasis added). So, yes, we hear the Word, but we do not eagerly force our way into it. And everyone that you see testifying, or has a breakthrough, or a miracle has eagerly forced their way into the preached Word. God says I will give you a name. You need to eagerly force your way into it.

The New King James Version of Luke 16:¹⁶ “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.” (emphasis added). So, we see the adjectives pressing, forcing, and eager being used. Therefore, for you to see the manifestation of what God is doing and wants to do, you have to eagerly press and force your way into the Word that has been declared. That is how it works. God’s declared Word this season is, I Will Give You A Name. You have to be eager and hungry. You have to press and force your way into it. What is that promise that is hanging and lingering? God says you are limitless. What is that promise? You need to force your way into it. What is that area that is still trying to limit you? You need to force your way into it.

You need to take the Word of God and wrestle with it. Matthew 7:^7-8 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” The door will be opened to you in the Name of Jesus. You need to eagerly press and force your way into God’s Word to you.

Prayer: Father, as I continue to engage Your Word for me in this season and all that You have declared over me, by Your Spirit, I eagerly press and force my way into its performance in my life, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
