Is That So?

Exodus 15:9-10 “The enemy boasted, ‘I will chase them and catch up with them. I will plunder them and consume them. I will flash my sword; my powerful hand will destroy them.’ But you blew with your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.”

Exodus 5:1-2 After this presentation to Israel’s leaders, Moses and Aaron went and spoke to Pharaoh. They told him, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Let my people go so they may hold a festival in my honour in the wilderness.” “Is that so?” retorted Pharaoh. “And who is the Lord?

Why should I listen to him and let Israel go? I don’t know the Lord, and I will not let Israel go.”And God said is that so? Pharaoh said is that so, why should I let them go? Who is He? Who is the Lord? What an insult. Who is your Father? Who is the Lord? Imagine you want to get employment in a multinational, and you do not know anybody. Someone points out the CEO to you and he is about to enter the elevator. So, you walk up to him and say, “My father says you should employ me in this establishment”.

He says, “What is your father’s name?” You say, “My father’s name is Mr Kassali.” He says, “Mr Kassali? Who is Mr Kassali?” At that point he will call security to bundle you out of the place if Mr Kassali’s name means nothing to him. That was what was going on in Exodus 5. Pharaoh was the most powerful man on earth at the time. “Is that so?” retorted Pharaoh. “And who is the Lord? So, God said, “Is that so? Now I will introduce Myself to you.” In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, God will introduce Himself to all your enemies. Everyone that has looked at your situation and your demand and said, “Is that so? How do you even want to do this?” Heaven will answer them. God actually answered and introduced Himself to Pharaoh.

God sent plague one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and plague ten. God introduced Himself and guess what? Even after the tenth plague, when the people were going, Pharaoh said, “I will pursue them”. Pharaoh can be so stubborn. Every “Pharaoh” in your life will be drowned in the Name of Jesus. Pharaoh pursued Israel but God introduced Himself. And the Bible says that throughout all the surrounding nations the Name of God was revered. As the people of Israel were going to the promised land, nations were trembling because God had introduced Himself. By the time they got to Jericho, Jericho had surrounded themselves with walls. They said, “We know you people. We have heard about what your God can do.”

That is why Balak called Balaam to curse the people of Israel because he was scared stiff. God’s fame had gone abroad.  And because God will introduce you and stand behind you, your fame will go abroad in the Name of Jesus. When God introduces you, you are recognized. When God introduces you, you are authorized. Heaven’s introduction is super key.

Prayer: Father, even as You have promised, introduce me, cause my name to be recognized, and put Your authority on me, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
