The Suspension

Galatians 5:25 “Now since we have chosen to walk with the Spirit, let’s keep each step in perfect sync with God’s Spirit.” (The Voice)

We will kick off today by reiterating our final thoughts from yesterday. When it comes to your life and destiny, selection is the name of the game. And it is clear that firstly, you cannot do everything. You just cannot do it all. Secondly, God does not expect you to do it all. Are you not glad that God does not expect you to do everything? Thirdly, there are only a few things that are worth doing at all. Not many things are worth doing. Interestingly, we sometimes make big decisions on little things that will not matter five years from now. We make big decisions based on little things that in ten years will not even matter, but we are so overwhelmed. We need to stop being small-minded and embrace the mind that God has for us.

So, as a people, we have chosen to focus on two main things: The Great Commandment and The Great Commission. The Great Commandment – love the Lord your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength and love your neighbour as yourself (please read Matthew 22:37-39). And The Great Commission – go ye into all nations and preach the gospel to every creature (please read Mark 16:15). When you simplify the wins, when you simplify the things that are big and that are major for you, you can easily get realigned when you go out of alignment. If it is not about The Great Commission and it is not about The Great Commandment, you should not find us there.

Like the vehicle, alignment has a lot more to do with the suspension of the car, than the wheels itself. For some men, mostly we understand this immediately. However, I will explain to the men and ladies who may not understand it. The tyres (wheels) of your car are connected to the body of your vehicle through a suspension system. However, because it is the wheels that we see have become in-toeing or out-toeing, we think alignment is about the wheels. The wheels represent our lives and the direction our lives are going. Sometimes, we think we can just adjust ourselves.

No, it is the suspension, that thing that connects you with the purpose, the body, the real destiny that you are carrying. What connects your life to it is the suspension, and that is what needs to be aligned. Once it is aligned, the wheels are aligned, and the destiny is aligned. So, when there is alignment, there is increased performance—an increase in performance of the wheels and the vehicle, and the wheels are long-lasting.

Prayer: Father, in the Mighty Name of Jesus, in every area where I have gone out of alignment, gone adrift, set me in order, realign me for Your glory, in Jesus Name. Amen!
