Living Waters

John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (NKJV)

Your words will water your destiny. Water carries life in it. One of the main functions of water in our bodies, in any system is to transport nutrients, vitamins, and supply food. The water of God in our lives carries life. The words that you speak are spirit, and they are life. Life and death are where? In the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). You water your destiny with your words. God is saying to you, “Water it”. You have planted, water it. You have sown, water it because water carries life. And beyond that, water is life and brings life. Water makes life fruitful and gives life. You have sown the seed, water it. Why? Water carries life. Water is life in itself. Water purifies. As you water your seeds, you are cleansing your future, your destiny.

Jesus cleanses His Church, His bride by washing it with water by the Word. Water cleanses, it purifies, it sanctifies. Water the plant. Water carries life. Water is life. Water purifies. Water connects. As a human being your whole body is connected by water. The water you drink gets to every part of your body. Do you know that? Water connects. Nations are connected by water. Every continent is connected by water. Water connects. That is why you will discover that the cities that have a port are always prosperous. Why? Water connects Lagos, New York, Tokyo, and London. And once there is connection, there is nourishment, there is movement, and there is transportation. Water connects. Similarly, spiritual water connects.

In fact, the throne of God is like a sea of glass that the water is undisturbed. And it is that same water that Jesus has made available for you and I that flows into our lives. So, the water connects us with God. When God is saying to you water your destiny, you water your destiny with your words. However, water can be polluted. It is a horrible thing when the water that is available to drink is polluted. People get sick. Homes experience health challenges when the water in the house is polluted. A whole city can get into trouble when the city’s water is polluted. When the water that you think is drinkable is polluted, it is a problem. When water is polluted, it can be dangerous. Water can be “bitter”, polluted water is “bitter”.

Now imagine that even this one percent of the water that we have on earth sometimes gets polluted. Unfortunately, the same thing sometimes occurs spiritually. Read Exodus 15:23. We will continue from here in tomorrow’s devotional by God’s grace.

Prayer: Father, I decree in the Name of Jesus that my words are life, my words will carry life and not death, my words purify, and my words connect to God’s heart, in Jesus Name. Amen!
