Know The Truth

‘Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth’ 3 John 1:2 [KJV]

You are rich! Some people have a problem with Christians prospering, have you noticed? People criticize Christians for prospering, saying all sorts of things because of the abuse in the church and rightly so. The truth is, everything that God has blessed man with, man has abused. God saw Adam in the garden and said it is not good that man should be alone; I will give him a wife [a help meet]. And men continue today to abuse women. What is the problem? Should we get rid of all the women? Ordinary food that God gave man to eat for his nourishment, man has abused food. Have you seen people eating? So is the solution to get rid of all the food? Of course not! For every revelation God has brought the church into to bless the church, there will always be some people that will abuse it. Holiness preaching came, people abused holiness preaching to the point that for instance, if a woman sits in a chair and she gets up, I have heard holiness teachings that say a man cannot go and sit down on the same chair because he will get defiled. Is that not an abuse? Is that what the Word of God says about holiness? Of course not! The revelation for tithing came. People abuse it; some Pastors are campaigning that people from other churches should send their tithe to them. Should we now stop giving God what is due Him? When the revelation of the intense power and the baptism of the Holy Ghost came, people abused it. People began to offer to teach people how to speak in tongues. I’m sure all of you are aware of this. In fact when I got saved I said to the Lord, I’m not interested in this thing called the Holy Ghost baptism. And it was because of the abuse I had seen. The problem is, we want to throw away the baby and the bath water. But then the more I read the Bible, the hungrier I became for the Holy Spirit. And alone in my room one day I asked God for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and I started speaking in tongues. Can someone now tell me that it is fake? Of course not! All the abuse does not change the fact that God will prosper you more and more [say amen]. My point is this; don’t throw away the baby and the bath water. Until you embrace the fact that God wants you to prosper, you may not prosper. You also cannot be angry at people that are prospering because you will attract what you honor.

Prayer: Father, I ask for the grace to recognize what is holy, acceptable, and pleasing unto You and to do them, in Jesus Name.
