Jesus Is _

‘Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me’ John 14:6

Jesus is the center of the purpose and the existence of the church. The church teaches morals but the church is not all about morals. The church is all about Jesus. Beyond the church, the world does not even know that the world is all about Jesus. The entire history of mankind revolves around the person of Jesus. In fact, our dating system revolves around Jesus, everything that happened before He walked the earth is B.C and everything that happens after His death and resurrection is A.D. Jesus is at the center of it all. Some agree that Jesus existed, because there’s too much proof to say that He did not exist, but that He was just a moral teacher or one of the great prophets. C.S Lewis in response to such comments says, “A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic …or else he would be the devil of hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to”. Jesus said, “except you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you have no part in me” [John 6]. Can a great moral teacher make such a statement? It’s either Jesus really is God or He is a mad man. Jesus said, “I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life, nobody comes to the Father except by me”. Isn’t that crazy? Jesus said to the Jews who were claiming to be the children of Moses you are not children of Moses because you don’t do what Moses did. They persisted, we know where are from, Abraham is our father. Jesus said before Abraham was, I Am [John 8]. Now that is either madness or it is the truth. Jesus is an enigma to a lot of people; they can’t wrap their minds around Him. But I say, is it possible to wrap your mind around the Creator of the heavens and the earth – the Word of God that became flesh? Jesus is either loved passionately or hated passionately but Jesus cannot be ignored. The move of the enemy at this time is to raise a generation that ignores Jesus, but Jesus cannot be ignored.
