Propagating the Kingdom
He said to them “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Mark.16:15 (NASB)
God uses the vehicle of the church to spread the Good News. The church is not a house; a lot of us believe that the church is the place of worship. The truth is that we are the church and we meet in a building. The church is not an organization, it is an organism. God will use you and I to propagate the Kingdom. You must evaluate the people around you to see who those close to you but far from God are. God trusts you and I to reach them. The church is considered as imperfect by many but in actual fact the church is the hope of the world. We are God’s only plan to take the world for Christ; God doesn’t have a plan B. God expects us to be aware of the spiritual state of people around us either at work, in school or in our neighborhood so we can preach Christ to them. That is, if they don’t already know Christ. You are the body of Christ and you are His representative. We must be cautious of what we do and how we act because we are the Jesus that people see. Before anyone listens to what you have to say about Christ, you must first live it. You have to do more than preach the message; you have to BE the message. ‘… Now if any man have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of His’ [Rom.8:9b KJV]. How Heaven and hell knows you are a Christian is not because you answered an altar call but how you live for Christ, how you reflect Him. Preaching the Good News is the very first assignment God has given to us. If Jesus comes now, what will be your score? You need to check your life today; does your life reflect Jesus and how many people have you talked to about Jesus this past week? ‘And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father’ Col.3:17 [NLT].
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to live like you and be Your ambassador. Help me Lord to always put You first in my life and in everything I do, in Jesus name. Amen
