Lead-Her
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done” Prov.31:30-31
I learnt a huge lesson some time ago and the lesson is that in a marriage the wife is a very powerful force spiritually. I have experienced situations where when my wife comes on board with me a hundred percent things just change, things we used to struggle with become effortless so to speak. We once had a lady on the workforce in church whose husband was giving her a lot of trouble just because she was on the workforce. I cannot say I was very close to this lady but I knew her. One day she approached me and told me what she was going through and expressed her desire to leave the workforce. It had gotten to the point where her husband said she was only obedient to Pastor and not to him. I was not comfortable with how they had put me in-between their issues. The woman said her husband was just insecure and urged me to call him but I did not because if he can say such things to his wife then what would he say to me especially since I don’t really have a relationship with him. So I said to her I hereby decree you will not be a worker anymore, I cancel it. And so even though she was not sure what to do, she had to disengage. Time passed and she began to literally backslide. Once someone is not following God, he or she must follow something. Things got so bad between them that the woman kicked the man out of the house and got a police injunction against him. Then one day at midnight my phone began to ring, I really didn’t want to take the call but I did. And the first thing he said was he called me Pastor! My thoughts were really? So I asked, how is my daughter? It was his turn to tell me the status of things in his home. He said no one could talk to his wife, not even her biological father and how he had been kicked out. And he began to plead with me to call her and speak to her because he was certain that she would only listen to me. Something in me wanted to leave him to harvest in full the seeds he had planted in the past but the God in me said you cannot repay evil for evil. So I called and told her I just got off the phone with her husband. She was about to relay her own version of events but I told her I was not interested. I told her, your husband is coming back so allow him into the house and she agreed. I called him back and told him he could go back home. This is the same man that felt he had all the control in the world. When women are carnal they can kill you. The best thing you can do is to leave them to be spiritual. If you are still struggling with your wife being spiritual the question to you is can you handle a woman’s carnality? Do not make an enemy of those people God has put in your life to help you.
Prayer: Lord, please open the eyes of my heart and lead me aright, in Jesus Name.
