My Lord!

The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. Ps.23:1 [NLT]

The beauty of having a personal walk or being in a relationship with God is that you get personal revelations of who God really is. You get to know who God really is for yourself. It is one thing to know about someone, it is another thing to know the person. Just like it is one thing to know about the state governor and it’s another thing to know him personally. Knowing about him does not give you access but knowing him gives you access. The same thing with God, you may know about God but knowing God is a totally different experience. Knowing God opens you up to personal revelations about the person of God Himself. I pray that this births in you a desire to come into a deeper relationship with God. You get personal revelations about God. You can know that God heals but knowing God as your healer is a totally different thing all together. Even as a child of God, if you have not had to trust God for healing, you may not know Him as your healer.  However, there are certain things you go through in your pilgrimage on earth where you have no other option but to turn to God. When you have experienced a personal touch from God, it personalizes the person of God in your life, one nobody can take from away you. It took Mara for the children of Israel to experience God as their healer [Ex.15:26]. David’s life experiences can be likened to a rollercoaster; in the wilderness, on the field shepherding sheep, killing Goliath and on his way to the throne through a life and death battle with Saul. Bourne out of being in a personal relationship with God through all these experiences, David therefore could say the Lord is my shepherd. God was to him all that he had tried to be to the sheep and much more. When you walk with God you get revelations of who God is as you go along.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, bring me into a personal walk and relationship with You; that You will be My Lord and my everything.
