Reconciled!

“Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault” Col.1:22

The Word of God is just amazing and so powerful. My advice to you today is spend time reading it daily. However, there may be someone reading today’s devotional but is still feeling confused about his or her stand with God. God has a Word for you through the Book of Colossians. Are you ready? Through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the crossCol.1:20 [emphasis added]. God is not angry. His anger has been satisfied. We should stopping walking around thinking God is some angry guy waiting for us to mess up and kick your butt. No! His anger has been fulfilled. For me this Word is just so relieving. His anger is fulfilled. As if that isn’t enough, God starts the next verse by saying, “This includes youCol.1:21 [emphasis added]. Amazing! God made peace with everything and this includes you! God is amazing! We have a way of excluding ourselves from good things. Even though God said everything we should know that includes us right? But sometimes we have a way of believing that Word for everything else but for ourselves. But the Word of God says and this includes you. Write this truth down and place it somewhere you will see all day today, God has made peace with you! So the question is how come some people are not saved and if they die in the state they are in, they will go to hell. The answer to that is straight forward, like God says, I have set a table for everybody to come and eat, everybody can come but some people have decided to stay hungry. Does that mean God has not provided for everybody? Some of us go to the table and we eat some, some even eat three people’s portion and there is still more than enough.

This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions.Col.1:21 [emphasis added]. What separates us from God is our evil thoughts and actions yet He has reconciled you to Himself through Christ. The key thing is have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power because God made peace through the cross of Jesus. God made peace through the cross so we have to come through the cross. When you show up before God the question will not be have you sinned, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. If it were a question of sin nobody will qualify. The question will be have you have you been to the cross?

Prayer [hymn]: Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? Are you washed in the blood… Amen!
