To-Do!

“It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying—“he disappeared, because God took him.” For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God.” Heb.11:5

Enoch had this testimony that he pleased God. The only time you attain the relationship status with God is when your faith transcends what you can get to who He really is. Think about it, you are a lady and there is this man that just likes what you have. He does not like you, he does not know you, and how you feel is not really important to him. But he likes your breast and he likes your buttocks and you think that is a relationship? He is not interested in you, in fact you are nothing because all he likes is what you have. I am pretty sure that if you are a lady that will be completely offensive and annoying. But that is very similar to what we do to God. We call Him El-Shaddai, the Double Breasted One, but we are not concerned about His holiness, His person, or about His heart. Faith is walking with God. You cannot please someone you are not interested in how they feel. You can only please someone you are interested in how they feel. So to please God, how God feels must be important to you. How God feels about what you are doing must be important to you. To please God you must get to the point where you do not do what everyone else is doing because of how God feels. How God will feel if you go ahead and do what you want to do? Is that important to you? The day it begins to be important to you, your walk with God has just started. That is faith! I can steal money or sleep with that person and no one will find out but how will God feel if I do that? The day that begins to be priority to you, your walk with God has just started. So you see that many people have not even started walking with God. Faith is walking with God following Enoch’s example. What did Enoch do? Enoch walked with God. How do you walk with God? To walk with God you have to be more interested in His heart than His hands.

What is Noah’s example? The third example of faith is Noah’s example and it is do what God says – do it! It is easy for us to relate with this scripture and it is easy for us to relate with the instruction God gave Noah. It is because we know what a boat is, we know what rain is, and we know what flood is. In the days of Noah there was nothing like a boat, yet God said to Noah build a boat this size and with these dimensions. But the Bible says, “It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened beforeHeb.11:7. Make up your mind to do what God says.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, as I learn from every one of these examples, let my life and my faith be built up, in Jesus Name.
