Fall To the Ground
‘My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him’ Isa. 53:2
When God wants to grow you, He will take you through the humbling process. He encourages you to keep your focus on Him. When God is building your roots there is nothing beautiful about it but guess what you are coming up with fruit. Do not be in a hurry about the process. Relax and let your life grow roots. You may not even like the process but endure it for the glory before you. Foundation work is a dirty process. The history of the land lies in its foundations. The foundation building process cannot be accelerated. You can only accelerate at your own peril. God wants to do great things in your life but God does not want you to crack under pressure. You have to pay attention to the roots. The first step to growing spiritual roots is ‘except the corn of wheat falls to the ground and it is planted it abides alone’. Meaning your life must be planted in Christ. It may sound simple but that is the depth of the whole thing. Without being planted there cannot be spiritual roots. Your life must be planted in Christ. A lot of people want to be part of a church but they don’t want their lives to be planted in Christ. Your life being planted in Christ means that is it now all about Him and not about you. Some of us want to keep that tiny bit in our lives that is not about Christ. In fact we seek to keep it alive and well just in case. ‘For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority’ Col.2:9. You are complete in Him. The challenge with getting planted in Christ for some people is that we have grown roots in the kingdom of darkness. It is difficult to be planted in Christ without being uprooted from the kingdom of darkness. Such people are ‘enjoying’ the fruit from that root and it is preventing them from being planted in Christ. So I pray for you that every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted in your life will be rooted up in the Mighty Name of Jesus. The first thing you need to do is to disconnect from the kingdom of darkness so you can be planted in Christ. If you do not develop your own spiritual muscles you will be at the mercy of someone else.
Prayer: Father, let every root that links me with the kingdom of darkness that you have not planted be uprooted from my life. Plant me irreversibly in Christ Jesus today, in Jesus Name.

The most important act in this whole process is focusing on Jesus!
