For or Against
‘The hand of the Lord was on Elijah. He girded up his loins and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel [nearly twenty miles] 1king 18:46 [AMP]
The Hand of the Lord can be either for you or against you. I pray that the hand of God will be for you and never against you. To have the hand of the Lord against anyone or anything is a dreadful thing. People are quick to say that side of God was only experienced in the Old Testament. The incident with Ananias and Sapphira happened under the new covenant. ‘And Peter said, How could the two of you even think of conspiring to test the Spirit of the Lord like this’ Acts 5:9. You must not test the LORD your God Deut.6:16a. Throughout scripture, Old and New Testament, there are examples of people who had the hand of God for them and others against them. Emulate the good and learn from the bad experiences. I am praying that the hand of God will never be against you but will be against the enemy of your destinies. When the hand of the Lord is for you, you have unprecedented acceleration. ‘The hand of the Lord was on Elijah. He girded up his loins and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel [nearly twenty miles] 1king 18:46 [AMP]. Naturally man cannot outrun a horse, talk less of a chariot, then a chariot that has gone ahead. Some of us are worried about the people who have gone ahead. Don’t worry, you are going to catch up and you will overtake them in Jesus Name. Elijah waited on the Lord, as soon as God’s hand rested upon him, he accelerated. Wait for the hand of God. Do not start running and competing with the chariots before you. In your strength alone you cannot do it. Once the hand of God comes upon you [and it will come], acceleration begins. However, if you know categorically that the hand of God has been against you, or is about to be unleashed against you know today that there is mercy with God if you will seek Him. There is mercy with God.
Prayer: Father Lord, I ask that You uphold me with Your righteous right hand. I pray that your powerful hand will be raised against every enemy of my destiny in Jesus Name. [1Sam.7:13]
