Before The Fire Falls

‘Then call on the name of your god, and I will call on the Name of the LORD. The God who answers by setting fire to the wood is the true God!” And all the people agreed’ 1kings 18:24

Read 1kings 18:20-38. The fire falling means that God is set to do new and amazing things to show forth His glory. The altar is where the fire falls. Hence before the fire falls, you must ensure that the altar is in place to receive the fire from God. The altar is where man meets with God; it is the altar of sacrifice. Your body is the first sacrifice that should be on the altar before God [Rom.12:1-2]. Before the fire falls, you need to ensure that you present your body holy and pleasing unto God. Some things in the spiritual can only be settled with fire. And there are some situations that would not bow except by fire. Situations similar to the one Elijah found himself in. The best thing is to prepare the altar and call for the fire. And God will answer by fire in Jesus Name. Nothing can resist fire and none of your enemies can withstand or escape the fire of God. You have just begun a project and the people have taken counsel together against you. Place it on the altar and the God that answered by fire, can answer by fire, and will answer by fire. You will finish that project and they will come and rejoice with you and testify that your God is Alive. You need to get to the point where you get tired of battling the resistance and take authority. In order to call down fire, you need to get tired of the struggle you are enduring and call for the fire of the Only Living God. After all, if God be for us who can stand in our way, who dares fight against us? One of the requirements of fire is confrontation. You have to be willing to confront the seen and unseen enemy. You cannot conquer what you are unwilling to confront. ‘He that is in you [and with you] is greater that he that is in the world’. Never be afraid to confront the resistance in your life. ‘For there are more on our side than on theirs’. You have already overcome [Rev.12:11]. ‘For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds’ 2Cor.10:4. What is it that you must confront today?

Prayer: Lord, You are the only true God. Lord arise and let every resistance against me scatter. You are the same God today; let Your fire consume my enemies on every side, in Jesus Name
