Confronting The Enemy
‘Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver… If the LORD is God, follow Him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!’ 1kings 18:21
Before the fire falls, you must confront the enemy. Challenge satan and his agents in the Name of Jesus. This kind of confrontation as prescribed in the Bible requires that you ‘submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you’ James 4:7 [KJV]. The place of the personal altar cannot be over emphasized. It is priority in God’s eyes. Your personal altar is key to winning your battles over the enemy. Ensure that your personal altar is in place first before you confront the enemy [Rom.12:1-2]. And because your altar is in place, securing backing from Heaven will not be an issue. The enemy is not a gentle man. Minding your business does not mean he will mind his business. If there is a shrine in your house, confronting it will mean pulling it down. Pull it down and nothing will happen in the Name of Jesus [Jer.1:10]. The fact that there is no vacuum in the spiritual is also another important reason why your altar must be in place first. As you pull down the idol altar, you are better equipped to instantly plant God’s altar. The next thing you have to confront is the human gate before you. For a lot of us there is someone in our lives that we need to walk up to and confront issues. In some cases, it is a long standing silence caused by offence. Break the silence, ask for pardon and offer your forgiveness. Perhaps the person you need to confront is in your office. Confront the intimidation because God has declared that you will be above only. Elijah alone confronted the 450 prophets of baal. If God had not come through for Elijah, they would have shredded him. These are the same prophets who were able to cut themselves. But there is a saying that ‘the lion does not run away from battle’. You are the child of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. His DNA is in you. Confront the person knowing you have the backing of the Almighty. Maybe the person you need to confront is your spouse. Initiate a conversation today and confront the issues between you.
Prayer: Father, I ask for wisdom even as I engage in confronting all that You are leading me to challenge by Your Spirit. Every Egyptian I confront now I shall see them no more, in Jesus Name
