He Sees, He Knows, & He Rewards

‘But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded’ 2 Chr.15:7

After the ark returned to the Jews, about seventy men decided they wanted to see what was inside it. So they opened it and God killed all seventy of them. So the ark was relegated through the time of Samuel and Saul until David’s time. True to how God described him ‘a man after My heart’. David said ‘how can the ark of God be relegated’. So he decided to bring the ark of God to the city of David. So they put the ark on a cart. Meanwhile the place they relegated the ark to was the house of Abinadab, the father of Uzzah. While the ark was Read the rest of this entry

The Same

‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever’ Heb.13:8

Jesus the express image of the invisible God rode into Jerusalem. There was so much celebration and people were laying down their cloths. However, way back, an event took place that can be likened to the one that took place in Jerusalem at the time of Jesus. There was a time when the Jews went to battle carrying the ark of God. The ark of God signifies the manifest presence of God amongst His people. Yet today Jesus says ‘where two or three are gathered together in My Name there I am in their midst’. They carried the ark to Read the rest of this entry

Resurrection

‘He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying’ Matt.28:6

The beauty of resurrection or Easter as we know it is that through Jesus we can expect that every thing that is dying and ought to be alive in our lives will come back to life. Through Jesus we can expect that everything that is dead already that ought to be living will resurrect. We have the victory through Jesus Christ. Unfortunately for the enemy, he keeps forgetting the power of resurrection and making the same mistake he did with Jesus with us. The enemy sees your marriage has the potential to thrive and he attacks it. Stop Read the rest of this entry

Jesus is Alive

‘…Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead…’ Luke24:5-6

Hallelujah, Jesus is Alive. The beauty of our faith is the fact that the grave is empty.  Every other person that has claimed to be a prophet or a god we know where they are buried today.  We know the tomb of Buddha, Mohamed, and Krishna. We also know the tomb of Jesus but it is empty. He arose just as He Read the rest of this entry

Hallelujah

‘Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory’ 1 Cor.2:8 [KJV]

Hallelujah is embracing limitations in order to be truly free. Hallelujah is looking foolish in order to actually gain wisdom. Hallelujah is the willingness to concede a loss in order to gain the ultimate victory. That was what God did with Calvary. God was willing to give up one so that He might gain many. The

Irony of the Cross #4

He trusted God, so let God rescue him now if he wants him! For he said, ‘I am the Son of God’ Matt.27:43.

The fourth irony of the cross is the man who had been ‘abandoned’ by God trusts God. [Read Matt.27:43-51]. ‘He trusted God, so let God rescue him now if he wants him!’ This statement is filled with sarcasm not towards God but towards Jesus; questioning the trust that Jesus had for God. For everyone that Read the rest of this entry

Irony of the Cross #3

The leading priests, the teachers of religious law, and the elders also mocked Jesus. “He saved others,” they scoffed, “but he can’t save himself! So he is the King of Israel, is he? Let him come down from the cross right now, and we will believe in him!’ Matt.27:41-42

The third irony of the cross is the man who can’t save himself saves others. The man who hung on the tree and could not save himself actually saves others. To the thief by his right hand, Jesus said ‘today you will be with me in paradise’. ‘Let him come down from the cross right now, and we will believe in him’ Will they? They are just hypocrites, Jesus raised a couple of dead people and they still did not believe him. He that has not died, if He were to come down from the cross they still would not believe him. They probably would Read the rest of this entry

Irony of the Cross #2

Along the way, they came across a man named Simon, who was from Cyrene, and the soldiers forced him to carry Jesus’ cross’ Matt.27:32

The second irony of the cross is the man who is utterly powerless is actually the most powerful. [Read Matt.27:32-40]. Jesus was slapped, spat on, beaten, flogged on the head and he was stack naked. And he was too weak to carry his cross. They had to call Simon to carry his cross. And in all of this they still mocked him. They said to Jesus ‘for us to know you are the savior come down’. Yet Jesus was saying ‘for me to actually save you I need to stay on the cross’. The irony here is that it was only by staying on the cross that Jesus Read the rest of this entry

Irony of the Cross #1

‘They wove thorn branches into a crown and put it on his head, and they placed a reed stick in his right hand as a scepter. Then they knelt before him in mockery and taunted, “Hail! King of the Jews!”’ Matt.27:29.

Halal means to display foolishness with affront. And one of the ways society responds to people they consider foolish is to mock them, ridicule them, or scorn them. When culture views you as foolish one of the ways they respond is to make fun of you. The cross is a classic example of hallelujah. Jesus hanging Read the rest of this entry

God’s Way

But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!’ Luke 19:39

A lot of us have our own mindsets on how we want things done but God also has His own plans on how things will be done. ‘We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer’ Prov.16:1. That is why as humans it is always a constant struggle between doing your will and following God’s will, constantly questioning if it is your way or God’s way. The purpose of Easter is to show us that Read the rest of this entry
