To Finish

Matthew 11:29 “Put My yoke upon your shoulders—it might appear heavy at first, but it is perfectly fitted to your curves. Learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble of heart. When you are yoked to Me, your weary souls will find rest.” (Voice)

As we come into God’s presence today, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that God will breathe His life upon us, teach us His Word, and change our lives for the glory of His Name. Do you ever feel like you cannot get enough done in a day or with your life? Read the rest of this entry

At The Centre

2 Corinthians 6:1 “In our work together with God, then, we beg you who have received God’s grace NOT TO LET IT BE WASTED” (GNT, emphasis added).

God wants us to centre our lives around Him (worship), learn to love His family (fellowship), cultivate spiritual maturity (discipleship), contribute something back (ministry), and tell others about His love. 2 Corinthians 5:18&20 “…Through Christ, God made peace between us and himself,  Read the rest of this entry

Significance

1Peter 4:10 “God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other…” (LB, emphasis added)

God wants us to centre our lives around Him (worship), learn to love His family (fellowship), cultivate spiritual maturity (discipleship), and contribute something back (ministry). How do we serve a God that is invisible? We serve God by serving people. Read the rest of this entry

Grow & Contribute

Hebrews 5:12 “By now you should be teachers. Instead, you still need someone to teach you…!” (GW, emphasis added).

You can grow old, without growing up. There are a lot of people who have grown old, but they have not grown up. They are saved, but they are shallow. As you grow old physically and in Christ, God wants you to grow up. You have to be a life learner; you have to be a disciple. Read the rest of this entry

Love & Grow

Philippians 1:9 “I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding”

Yesterday, we looked at the first of the five areas that you and I need to focus on for the rest of our lives and have a significant life both here on earth and in heaven. The Core

Mark 11:9 “Jesus was in the centre of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting, “Praise God! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!”

Do you really want your life to be centred around your job, money, and your children? Some people want to be famous. Read the rest of this entry

First & Greatest

Matthew 22:37-38 “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.”

Are ready to commit the rest of your life to this God, to serve Him with all your might, and all your strength? This will determine the duration and donation of your life. Deuteronomy 6:5 “And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. Love God, your God… with all that’s in you, love him with all you’ve got!” (NLT&MSG)

Who would you say was the greatest king in the Bible? Can you guess? David? David was the most famous. But who did the Word of God call the greatest king in the Bible? Interestingly not David. Was it Solomon? Solomon was the wisest and arguably the wealthiest. Read the rest of this entry

In-Step

1 Kings 8:58 “May God keep us centered and devoted to him, following the life path he has cleared, watching the signposts, and walking AT THE PACE AND RHYTHMS he laid down for our ancestors.” (MSG, emphasis added).

Ecclesiastes 11:6Keep on sowing your seed, for you never know which will grow—perhaps it all will.” (LB). And in the New Testament, they all will grow in the Name of Jesus. But because we do not understand the dynamics, we sometimes forget the time dynamics because we are living in a timeline. Read the rest of this entry

Slow Down

Galatians 6:9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

When should I move slowly? When I Do Not Have All The Facts and When I Am Hurt, Angry, or Depressed (H.A.D.). The third time I should move slowly is When I Am Making A Major Decision. Proverbs 21:29Wicked people bluff their way (through life), Read the rest of this entry
