Dissolve Fear
‘…We can’t go up against them! They are stronger than we are! We even saw giants there… Next to them we felt like grasshoppers, and that’s what they thought, too!’ Num.13:31-33
God wants to do the unimaginable in our lives. However, there are certain things that you and I need to check. Things in our lives that we may be cooperating with to keep God boxed. Things that tend to limit the influence of God in our lives. Fear is one such things which you and I must let the Holy Spirit work in us to dissolve completely. Fear attempts to strangle faith. Without faith Read the rest of this entry
New Level
‘…Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water. Yes, come, Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus Matt.14:28-29
Moving from one place to another requires first a decision to let go of point ‘A’ and enter into the relatively new point ‘B’. For you to enter into your new level, you must also be willing to enter the new and exit the old. If you are unwilling to move, entering the new level will be totally impossible. You must be willing Read the rest of this entry
Fulfilling Prophecy III
‘Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see’ Heb.11:1
The final step to fulfilling prophecy is that you Walk in it. Having faith and walking confidently depends on where your focus is. The way your life is currently is because of who you have been focusing on. Faith looks to God and acts based on His Word. Faith always has corresponding [appropriate] action. God’s Ways
‘My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, says the LORD. And My ways are far beyond anything you could imagine’ Isa.55:8.
‘My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, says the LORD. And My ways are far beyond anything you could imagine’. You cannot predict God’s ways but you can align with them. God will not work according to your timing but according to His purpose. We must constantly remind ourselves that God’s Read the rest of this entry
Dispelling Internal Storms
‘When besieged, I’m calm as a baby. When all hell breaks loose, I’m collected and cool’ Ps.27:3 [MSG]
The storm within is more lethal than the storm without. As soon as you secure the presence of God, the first thing He proceeds to deal with is your internal storm. Jesus has to address every internal storm of anxiety, worry, depression, fear, uncertainty, and doubt; before dealing with the storm without [Matt.6:25]. Of course you will find yourself having to go through very tough situations. You must choose not to worry but instead keep your heart stayed on God. You may not have the answers but you know the God who has all the Read the rest of this entry
Securing His Presence
‘Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me’ Ps.23:4 [KJV]
The major key to stilling every storm in our lives is securing the presence of God. Safety they say is not in the absence of danger but in the presence of the Lord. His presence guarantees your safety and deliverance inspite of the storm. This is why you repeatedly hear people testify that even though they experienced real life storms with waves crashing and all, their boats did not capsize. ‘Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me. Your rod and Your staff protect and comfort me’ Read the rest of this entry
Sources of Storms III
‘Saul’s son Jonathan had a son named Mephibosheth… He was five years old when the report came… that Saul and Jonathan had been killed… When the child’s nurse heard the news, she picked him up and fled. But as she hurried away, she dropped him, and he became crippled’ 2 Sam.4:4
Storms can arise simply because we live in a broken and imperfect world. These sort of storms are not your fault or from the enemy [even though the enemy would be happy] but are circumstantial. In other words, such storms are built on the imperfection in the world. Mephibosheth did nothing wrong. Arguably what happened to him was not an enemy attack. He was being carried away to safety but in the process he was dropped and he became crippled. This young boy would have to live with this health storm for the rest of his life. Sources of Storms I
‘Throw me into the sea, Jonah said, and it will become calm again. I know that this terrible storm is all my fault’. Jonah 1:12
The storms that we experience are not without reason. Storms come from varying sources that is why it is important to check and identify the source of the storm. Identifying the source of the storm better equips us with understanding to deal with the storms through Jesus Christ. Storms we experience sometimes arise as a result of the choices or decisions we have made. ‘The LORD gave this message to Jonah… Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it… But Jonah got up and went in the opposite Read the rest of this entry
The Storm
‘Jesus said to His disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” So they took Jesus in the boat… But soon a fierce storm came up… Jesus was sleeping… The disciples woke Him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care…’ Mark 4:35-38.
Imagine the storm approaching and Peter sends the first person ‘check if He was still in the boat’. The first feedback is that Jesus is there but sleeping. So Peter figures all must be well, if Jesus is on this boat we are fine. Then the high waves and the boat starts filling up with water and the second feedback says He is still sleeping. Peter could not take it anymore, along with the other disciples I can almost imagine him racing to where Jesus lay and waking him up vigorously not waiting for Him to finish opening His eyes before he Read the rest of this entry
A New Thing II
‘New honors are constantly bestowed on me, and my strength is continually renewed’ Job 29:20.
With God there are always new levels to climb spiritually. No one can ever say they have arrived with God. This is why He is the Beginning and the End; each breaking day births newness. ‘…five of you shall chase an hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight’ Lev.26:8 [versus] ‘…one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight’ Deut.32:30. God is consistently reviewing plans to include new clauses so you need to be ready to evolve along with Him otherwise you will become un-usable. With God Read the rest of this entry
