Following Jesus

‘Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing… I have loved you even as My Father has loved Me. Remain in My love. When you obey My commandments, you remain in My love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in His love’. John 15:5,9 &10

 

There is a huge difference between going to Church and following Jesus. The fact that we are visible in Church and regularly attend meetings does not mean we are following Jesus. How will you respond to Jesus?

‘Look I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends’. Rev.3:20 [NLT]

Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. His promises are guaranteed. However, our response determines our feedback. Hungry?

The key to a deeper relationship with God, better understanding of the Word, accelerated spiritual growth, a full experience of salvation and eternal glory is Hunger. Familiarity with God

Familiarity they say breeds contempt. Never, ever, ever get too familiar with God or with His Word. All that you have and will ever have are gifts from God alone [John 3:17].
