His Praise

Ephesians 3:21 “Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.”

We are still on the question – ‘why church?’ Remember, the longer we stay with the question, the deeper our revelation. So, why church, why do we exist? Beginning today, we will be looking at four main reasons why we exist. The first is, we exist to celebrate God’s Presence [Worship]. When we gather, we celebrate the presence of our King, our God, and our Maker. Read the rest of this entry

The Assembly

1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” (KJV)

We will pick up today’s devotional from our final thought yesterday. Jesus said in Matthew 16:18 “…upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.” The word “church” here is the word “Ecclesia”, and not “church” as derived from the German word “Kirche”. “Ecclesia” is the gathering of God’s people. Ecclesia

Matthew 16:18 “…upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.”

With all that is going on in the world today, one of the questions in people’s hearts is why church? A friend was telling me about three men who said the only reason they used to go to physical church was they were always afraid bad things would happen to them if they did not go to church physically. The COVID-19 pandemic had demystified church for them, so they had removed church from their calendar. Read the rest of this entry

Sõzõ!

1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (NKJV)

One thing I do is, I take God’s Word very personally. I realized a long time ago that it is only God I have. If you realize that it is only God you have, half of your problem is solved. When I realized that it is only God I have, I decided that day to take God very seriously. The second half is, if it is going to be, it is up to me. Read the rest of this entry

The Mix

Hebrews 11:33-34 “Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight….” (KJV)

Why don’t we see the full spectrum of Sõzõ in people’s lives? The first reason is Ignorance, and the second reason is Brokenness; the generational wickedness or brokenness of the world is perpetrated in those lives. Sometimes, it has nothing to do with you. For instance, someone else driving recklessly can hit your brand-new car. It is not because you have a curse on you. It is simply someone else’s problem that you now have to deal with, Read the rest of this entry

In It

Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (KJV).

Yesterday, we began to look at the first of three reasons why people do not see and experience the full spectrum of Sõzõ. And the first reason is Ignorance. Ephesians 4:18 “They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.” (NIV). Hardness of heart brings about spiritual blindness Read the rest of this entry

Revelation Light

Ephesians 4:18 “They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.” (NIV).

Why don’t we see the full spectrum of Sõzõ in our lives? Why are some saved but not delivered? The same masquerade that flogged their grandfather, flogged their father, is now flogging them. The truth is that when you get saved what should happen is, that masquerade should run when it gets to you. Listen, Read the rest of this entry

Faithful & Just

1 John 1:8-9 “If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” (emphasis added).

God wants us to look back at the cross and embrace the work that Jesus did on the cross of Calvary. We look at the cross, we are not seeking for Jesus to shed His blood again. We are looking at the cross from a place of victory. That is why Isaiah says in Read the rest of this entry

The Cross

1 Peter 2:24-25 “He personally carried the load of our sins in his own body when he died on the cross so that we can be finished with sin and live a good life from now on. For his wounds have healed ours!” (LB)

Sõzõ is a fundamental concept that every believer needs to understand to have a meaningful walk with God. The concept of salvation and saving is consistent from the beginning to the end of the scriptures. Man always gets into trouble, so we need a saviour. The first trouble man got into Read the rest of this entry

Full Option

Isaiah 35:4 “Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.” (emphasis added).

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (KJV, emphasis added). Sõzõ! Whosoever means whosoever. What an assurance. I want to tell you a story, it is a popular story, and you probably have heard it before. But every time I think about the story it always blesses me. Read the rest of this entry
