Ransomed
1 Peter 1:18-19 “For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.”
Sõzõ means to redeem. To redeem means to pay a ransom for. You are a lawful captive, okay? You went into the problem yourself, okay? You sold yourself to the devil, okay? Yet God says, ‘I will pay for you, I will buy you back’ – Sõzõ! If this Word is planted in your heart, even when our parents take us to places and dedicate us to altars, Read the rest of this entry

Isaiah 35:3-4 “With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands and encourage those who have weak knees. Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.”
Matthew 15:26-27 “Jesus responded, “It isn’t right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs.” She replied, “That’s true, Lord, but even dogs are allowed to eat the scraps that fall beneath their masters’ table.” What was the woman saying? Read the rest of this entry
The Gospel
1 John 4:9 “In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.”
Today, we will begin by expanding on a few things we touched on yesterday. Sõzõ is an all-encompassing word. However, if you just look at it from the meaning save, you will struggle because you will not see the fullness of what it means to be saved, or what it means wherever the word Sõzõ is used. To Save…
Isaiah 9:7 “His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!”
Matthew 1:21 “And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” (emphasis added). When we turn to Jesus in repentance, we find salvation, forgiveness, deliverance, and cleansing from our sins. No sin too great, not sin too small. Read the rest of this entry
God With Us!
Isaiah 9:6 “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
When you read Acts 3:1-9, you would think that Peter and John if not celebrated would be thanked for what they did for the lame man. Instead, they were caught and taken to prison and because it was late at night, they could not try them. Read the rest of this entry
Sõzõ
Isaiah 51:1 “Listen to me, all who hope for deliverance—all who seek the Lord! Consider the rock from which you were cut, the quarry from which you were mined.”
Over the next few days, as 2023 winds down, we will fix our eyes on a key concept in scriptures called Sõzõ. If there is one foundational concept in the scriptures that every Christian should have locked down is Sõzõ. Read the rest of this entry
Your Voice
John 5:10-11 “so the Jewish leaders objected. They said to the man who was cured, “You can’t work on the Sabbath! The law doesn’t allow you to carry that sleeping mat!” But he replied, “The man who healed me told me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.’”
As you are lifted in this season, be careful of people who cannot rejoice with you. Instead, they come to you with technicalities. You have prayed and trusted God for a husband. God has given you a husband and they are saying, ‘Are you not six months older than him? Read the rest of this entry
Lifted To Lift
2 Corinthians 1:4 “He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”
The story is told of a certain Pastor who had paid the school fees of a young man all through university. The Pastor was building a church and the young man came around. And the young man said to the Pastor, ‘You paid my school fees through university. How much is the bill for this church building project?’ The Pastor told him, and the young man paid for it. The pastor had been carrying the young man, but it was time for the young man to carry the Pastor. Everyone that has carried you, God will empower you and enable you to carry them in Jesus Mighty Name.
For some reading this today, it is your parents that have carried you. And now it is your turn to carry them, but you are abandoning your parents. For some of you, it was your siblings that carried you but now God has smiled on you with favour. Do not worry about what anybody has done, just help them, just carry them, just help them. It is your turn to carry them.
The first lesson from John 5:1-11 is That God Will Use People To Lift You. The second thing is God Will Override People To Lift You. The third lesson is, You Will Find Your Voice. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the covering over your voice will be lifted. John 5:9-11 “Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking! But this miracle happened on the Sabbath, so the Jewish leaders objected. They said to the man who was cured, “You can’t work on the Sabbath! The law doesn’t allow you to carry that sleeping mat!” But he replied, “The man who healed me told me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.’” Where were these people all these years when this man was laying down there for thirty-eight years?
The truth is as long as you are down, nobody will say anything about you, simply because nobody cares. But as you are going to be lifted in this season, the tongues will begin to wag. Trust me, it is a good prayer. May you not be the person that they do not have anything to talk about. Do I get an Amen? May you be the person that everybody has something to talk about. ‘…The law does not allow…’ they said, where was the law when this man was abandoned, in pain, and downtrodden? Is it not amazing how some people have nothing to say to you as long as you are nothing, a nobody, begging for food, a low life? But you will not continue to be a low life because your story is being rewritten. Be careful of people that cannot rejoice with you.
Prayer: Father, according to Your Word, I will comfort others with the same comfort You have given me. As I am lifted, I will lift others to Your glory, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
