The God of glory thunders. The Lord thunders over the mighty sea. <sup>4<\/sup> The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If we know how things will turn out, we will never panic no matter what. Some years ago, in my walk with and work for God, I told God that I would not pray about the weather anymore.<!--more--> He, God sent me to do this work and somethings are out of my control. The one that He wants me to do, I promised that by His grace I will do it and He will be pleased. But things like whether it will rain or not rain are really God\u2019s business. I took a position not to pray about such things anymore. Since then I stopped praying about the weather. Do not get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with praying about the weather. When people pray about the weather, I say amen, but I was not going to pray about it again.<\/p>\n<p>It was one of our special seasons in church, a God Will Do It Again season. The night before the service, I usually would spend focused time prayerfully listening to God\u2019s heart. On that night, I was with God as usual when it began to rain at about two o\u2019clock in the morning. By four o\u2019clock, it seemed like the rain was vexing. It was still raining at six o\u2019clock, so I was like, \u201cOh God of heaven!\u201d Honestly, from the time I took that position until that night, which was about seven years, I had never panicked. That day I panicked, and I became filled with anxiety. I began to ask the Lord, \u201cWhat is going on, what have You told us to do that we have not done? Have You required anything of me that I have not given?\u201d I was not saying it in a rebellious way, He is my Dad. May you have confidence to stand before God and ask such questions with confidence.<\/p>\n<p>The anxiety went on for about forty-five minutes and at the thick of it, the Holy Spirit took me back to the day I said I was not going to pray about the rain again. Then He told me a few things and the anxiety totally disappeared. Then He said, \u201cWhere is the anxiety now?\u201d Do you know that I was trying to be anxious, but there was none? It was still raining when He spoke to me, in fact the rain did not stop till about eleven in the morning, which was way into the service. He said something that changed my life totally and I will share it with you. He said, \u201cYou were holding unto the Word when the storm was on and you were anxious\u201d. I said, \u201cYes\u201d, then He said, \u201cBut when you heard My voice, what happened to the anxiety, the turmoil?\u201d I said, \u2018Gone Sir, I cannot even find it.\u201d He said, \u201cYou hold on to the Word until you hear His voice!\u201d I had never ever heard that before in my life!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Prayer<\/strong>: Father, Your voice drives our anxiety and turmoil, Your voice brings peace to every storm. May Your voice never be scarce in my ears, in Jesus Name. Amen!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ps.29:3 \u201cThe voice of the Lord echoes above the sea.
