\u2018\u2026Don\u2019t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us<\/em>\u2019 Rom.12:3b. What are you saying about yourself? What is your honest evaluation about yourself? Some of us have the baggage of unrealistic self-view. We have unhealthy opinions about ourselves. Some people think they are better than others. They have a superiority complex. In fact they believe they are doing God a favour just by being in Church, serving, or giving towards the needs of the body. It is a wrong opinion or view of self. \u2018It’s important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him<\/em>\u2019 Rom.12:3b<\/a> [MSG]. Humble yourself, then God in due time will exalt you. \u2018God opposes the proud but favors the humble<\/em>\u2019 James 4:6b<\/a>.\u00a0 On the other hand, some people consistently live in self-condemnation and self-pity. Always complaining like the children of Israel. God hates murmuring [Phil.2:14<\/a>]. God had heard their cry for freedom and brought them out of slavery with a strong hand. Yet they did not see themselves as free people but as slaves. Why do you feel you can\u2019t appear where others are going because you don\u2019t have material things? None of us came to this world with anything. Stop looking down on yourself because you do not possess one material or the other? Don\u2019t be held bound by a complex. \u2018So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus<\/em>\u2019 Rom.8:1<\/a>. Do not condemn yourself, God doesn\u2019t condemnation you. You are God\u2019s handiwork and He will do good to you. God does not forsake the works of His hand. Concerning us, God says \u2018there is no enchantment against [them], neither will any divination stand’<\/em>. Keep your eyes on Jesus, He is the glory and the lifter up of your head.<\/p>\n
