God is bigger than all your needs. God is more than enough to meet your eternal needs. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/116\/psa.23.1\">Psalm 23<\/a>, David shows us clearly that God is more than enough to meet our eternal needs.<!--more--> David says, \u201cSurely goodness and mercies shall follow me all the days of my life and when this life is done, I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever \u2013 eternal\u201d [paraphrased]. David starts off this statement with the word &#8211; surely, which means there is no iota of doubt, no guessing. A lot of people, even Christians, go through life as though it is a guessing game, or as though the Christian walk is a guessing game. But David says, \u2018surely\u2019 meaning no guess work, no doubt, no wondering, no hesitation, and no question mark.<\/p>\n<p>It is surely, not maybe, not perhaps, not possibly, not hopefully, but surely, certainly, absolutely, and without a doubt. God wants us to get to a place in our walk with Him where when we have experienced the shepherd, we are able to say like David \u2013 surely! David had seen God meet his spiritual needs, David had experienced the restoration of soul. He had seen God meet his directional needs; God leading him in the path of righteousness for His Name sake. David had seen God meet his security needs even when it meant going through the valley of the shadow of death. He experienced God meeting his physical needs, his provisional needs. David saw God set a table before him in the presence of his enemies, God anointed his head with oil overflowing. So, David\u2019s conclusion is <u>surely<\/u>, without a doubt.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Without-a-doubt\u2019 is where God wants us to be. As we progress in our journey, in our walk with God, God wants us to get to a place where even if everything around us is saying something different, we can say <u>surely<\/u>, goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever! Regardless of what is uncertain in this world, God wants you to be able to say \u2013 surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. David is teaching us something very profound; when God is your shepherd, God is for you and God is dependable.<\/p>\n<p>When the Lord is your shepherd, He is for you and you can confidently say \u201csurely\u201d. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.56.9\">Ps.56:<sup>9<\/sup><\/a> <em>\u201cThen my enemies will turn back\u00a0when I call for help. By this I will know that God is <strong><u>for<\/u><\/strong> me<\/em>\u201d (NIV, with emphasis). This is so profound.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Prayer<\/strong>: Jesus, You are my Shepherd and You are totally dependable. I am Your sheep and I declare that surely, God\u2019s goodness and mercies shall follow me now and in eternity, in Jesus Name.
