It\u2019s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbour, be compassionate and loyal in your love, and don\u2019t take yourself too seriously\u2014 take God seriously.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/bible\/97\/MIC.6.8\">Micah 6:<sup>8<\/sup><\/a> (MSG) \u201c<em>But he\u2019s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It\u2019s quite <strong>simple<\/strong>\u2026\u201d<\/em> <!--more-->To follow God is simple. If you see someone following God and they are still very complex, they need to check which God they are following really. What makes following God simple? Three things highlighted in this scripture; <em>\u201c\u2026Do what is <strong>fair and just<\/strong> to your neighbour, be <strong>compassionate and loyal<\/strong> in your love, and <strong>don\u2019t take yourself too seriously\u2014 take God seriously<\/strong><\/em>\u201d (emphasis added). If you do these three things, your life will be simple.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Assignment 1<\/strong>: Be fair and just to the people around you, your neighbours. How does this simplify your life? Dishonest people mostly have convoluted lives because they are consistently thinking of new dishonest ways to cover their previous dishonesty.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Assignment 2<\/strong>: Be compassionate and loyal. How does this simplify your life? And when you held feasts, was that for me? Hardly. <strong>You\u2019re interested in religion, I\u2019m interested in people<\/strong><\/em>.\u201d (emphasis added). The question is, how is your spiritual growth affecting your neighbour? How has it translated to loyalty to your friends, the people around you? How has this made you more compassionate? You fasted but you are as wicked and as vindictive as ever.
