{"id":17661,"date":"2020-07-17T00:01:52","date_gmt":"2020-07-16T23:01:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gfhlive.tv\/freshfire\/?p=17661"},"modified":"2020-07-15T12:01:03","modified_gmt":"2020-07-15T11:01:03","slug":"set-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gfhlive.tv\/freshfire\/2020\/07\/17\/set-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Set Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-17661-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gfhlive.tv\/freshfire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/July-17.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gfhlive.tv\/freshfire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/July-17.mp3\">https:\/\/www.gfhlive.tv\/freshfire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/July-17.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/114\/1ch.12.32\">1 Chr.12:<sup>32<\/sup><\/a> (NKJV) \u201cof the sons of Issachar who had <strong>understanding of the times<\/strong>, to know <strong>what Israel ought to do<\/strong>\u2026\u201d<\/em>(emphasis added).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/116\/psa.4.5\">Ps.4:<sup>5<\/sup><\/a><em> Offer sacrifices in the right spirit, and trust the Lord.\u201d <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/116\/1ki.18.33\">1 kings 18:<sup>33<\/sup><\/a> <em>\u201cHe piled wood on the altar, <strong>cut<\/strong> <strong>the bull<\/strong> <strong>into pieces<\/strong>, and laid the pieces on the wood.\u201d <\/em>(emphasis added). The sacrifice you place on God&#8217;s altar belongs to <!--more-->God and He alone decides what will happen to it \u2013 whether to leave it whole or cut it into pieces. You cannot dictate to God what He should do with the sacrifice. It is not a sacrifice if you have control over it. A sacrifice is a sacrifice because you give up control. What have you placed on the altar and refused to let go of? It does not become a sacrifice until you give up control and until you let go!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/116\/1ki.18.36\">1 Kings 18: <strong><sup>36<\/sup><\/strong><\/a> <em>\u201cAt <strong>the usual time<\/strong> for offering the evening sacrifice, Elijah the prophet walked up to the altar and prayed&#8230;\u201d <\/em>(emphasis added). I have heard people say it was only in the Old Testament that God sets appointments. That is not true! God is God and He does not change. God does not change His character. God has not become born again in the New Testament. We are the ones that become born again. Know this; God still operates with set times. God chooses to do certain things only at set times. By God\u2019s grace, this season is a set time and God wants to do the miraculous. Repeatedly in the Gospels, Jesus would say, \u201cthe hour has not yet come\u201d or \u201cthe hour has come.\u201d Even the disciples made references to God\u2019s set time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/114\/act.3.1\">Acts 3:<sup>1<\/sup> (NKJV)<\/a> \u201c<em>Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour<\/em>.\u201d The time of prayer is a set time; note that this is in the New Testament. There is a set time for prayer and when the time came, the disciples needed to stop what they were doing. Why did they not opt to pray later, if they could pray at any time? Do not get me wrong, you can pray at any time. However, you need to know that God has set times when He does certain things. You do not want to miss God\u2019s set time for anything. I pray you would not miss God\u2019s set time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/116\/1ki.18.25\">1 Kings 18:<sup>25<\/sup><\/a> \u201c<em>Then Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, \u201cYou go first\u2026\u201d<\/em> Elijah was being very strategic, he was waiting for the set time, the time the fire would come. The Bible said at noon time, Elijah began to mock them. He encouraged them to try harder, shout louder. Noontime was not the set time. God has a usual time when He does certain things. If you are in a relationship with someone, you need to know the person&#8217;s usual time for certain things.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Prayer<\/strong>: Holy Spirit, please give me an understanding of the times and seasons and help me discern God\u2019s set time in every season, in Jesus Name.
